Lightbulb Any interest in an HKS Hyper cat-back?

It came on my RS and is just a little too loud for me. Besides, I'm not a big fan of the whole "angled muffler" JDM thing.

It's in near perfect shape, is stainless 3" with a 5" tip and has a small flex joint right near where it mates up to the cat pipe.

Not sure what to ask... make me some offers.

I can bring it to the ATL challenge if needed... would like to keep the sale local (SE).

-Mike.

I will take a look at it. If I can ever get around to getting my new exhaust on and trying that out, then I will know if I truly like it

Dude, you should get it... plus there's no melting bumper issues here.

Dude, we'd have to call it the Miata Type-R.

i could be interested in this. what is the downside to running 3'' from the cat back? i would love this, i am looking for something louder than the stromung dual tip, i love the sound, it just ain't loud enough.

any ideas in the 3'' affecting performance?

It removes some of your low-end torque and gives you more power on the top end. Ask Matt, He had a 3" cat back on his RS... that thing screamed up top.

No pics yet.

Guessing I'll ask $250 obo. Let me verify that all flanges, etc will match up.

I know the muffler is an exact fit but the cat-pipe may not mate right up to a GC/ GM.

Thanks,
-Mike.

I had the 3" Apex`i catback on my RS for about two years. I loved the performance on the top end, but, the bottom end was horrible...well, not horrible, just non-existant.

Mine didn't fit right at all and melted the bottom of my bumper. there is a pic floating around of the melted-ness. anyhow, I was looking at Mike's tonight, and there is no way in hell that thing could melt anything. it looks real good

here is teh my bumper mod...this is NOT what will happen to yours if you buy Mike's exhaust , so, yeah, buy it! and stuff

I'll try to get some pics today.

Found out (thanks Matt) that the flange that mates up to the cat needs to be rotated to mate up to a GC cat section.

Thanks,
-Mike.

Bringing this back from the dead.

I'll post pics tonight for sure. The exhaust was NOT made to fit a GC as I originally thought... the hanger is in the stock WRX location but it works great on my MY00 RS coupe (it just doesn't make use of that hanger).

I also have a Helix catless DP that will need to go. Taking offers.

Thanks,
-Mike.
