Default 03 Baja + Turbo Kit or 04 Baja Turbo

In light of 0% APR & $2k rebates on 03 Baja Models, do you think it'd be a better deal to get an 03 and put a turbo kit on it or wait for an 04 baja turbo?

Ditto that, plus you'll get a factory warranty. If you put a turbo on an '03 model, you can kiss your factory warranty goodby if something goes wrong.

Second that. I went to test drive Baja Turbo 5MT, a demo car. Having driven a stock Impreza for the last 5 years in Denver (almost 6,000 feet), Baja Turbo is a, well, wow! WRX is lots faster, but this one definitely has a kick – at least I’d give more than what reviews have given. I think most reviewers were expecting FXT or WRX type wow, but as Legacy that happend to have a small bed, it's quite a car. It ran 70mph at 3,000 rpm even, gearing seems taller than FXT. I was expecting rolls, but the body is noticeably stiffer than my wagon Impreza – it feels almost like a sedan. Head room is probably a bit tighter than Impreza due to standard sun roof, so big folks may have an issue there. I tell ya, I’m sold! Oh, the turbo sound echos sweeter than WRX, I think (don't know why). I'll go put down my deposit as they will be in Denver by mid month. 3% over is fine with me, which can be cheaper than some 03 models out there now...

I agree that the reviewers are giving it a bad rap just because they can't make up their mind on weather or not they like the baja. Hatake, thanks for the first true review of the baja.
