Default spring specs

hi all, i am about to purchase a set of 04 sti spring, not those pink sti spring, just regular sti spring off from a local car, in to my 04 wrx.
does anyone know how much drop it would be? or maybe stiff rate difference
alll results from my research tell me about swapping stock and aftermarket. nothing on sti VS WRx.

thanks very much

The stock STi springs would drop your car between 0.5 to 1 inch.

Well, from the threads I have seen most people see between 12~20mm drop from the STi spring swap. And this is also true based on my personal experience too (my car got lower closer to 20mm).

The stock STi spring rate is 224 front, 193 rear. It will drop a WRX/RS about 15-20mm from stock. I have had them on my car before, and will be running them again after my Swift springs come off the car.

Stiffer than WRX springs, but not too stiff for stock WRX struts.

If you don't want to do the alignment again you should use a pen/pencil/crayon and mark where the camber bolt is aligned to. That way once you put everything together it won't be too far off.

Ideally you should still have the alignments checked.

I'd personally get an alignment done...but if you really mark the camber bolts well, and get it back to those marks, it may be ok for now.
