Such a good result!
Does the piston make too much noise on cold start? Or is it tolerable?

You can tell it's forged, but it honestly isn't that bad. First time start up was noticeable, but that might have been me being a little paranoid.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!! Finally!!! So glad to see such stellar results on 93!!!! Any plans on speed density and E85?

Why would you be paranoid? This build was so smooth!!

Thanks. Slim chance on E85. The builder said that most of the engines he sees coming into his shop for a rebuild because of damage were running E85. The real question at that point was was it tune related, or driver error. No answer for that though, but he did hint that running E85 in these cars was still relatively new, and there very well could be more to learn about it.
...now a C16 race fuel tune may happen.

Speed density is a definite. There's more power on the table, but we can't use it since we maxed the MAF.

Andrewtech did a wonderful job building the engine. There's a good amount of detail work done in the heads that helped quite a bit. My paranoia came from not knowing what a forged internal build should sound like.

Ray did a great job tuning. He was really pleased with the result. I know how to read graphs, and he said there is a "smoothness" filter that is used to make the bumpy/jagged lines more smooth. When he pointed out what he did, he said a lot of graphs seen have this smoothness factor set anywhere between 30 and 50 (again, no clue what that means). He has mine set at 1, so the smoothness of both hp and tq is actually what the car did, and not a representation of what is actually going on.

Small update. Had the car retuned this past weekend on speed density. Sadly, they recalibrated the dyno, so can't do a direct comparison. We were able to bump max PSI to 22 vs the 19 it was. Per the numbers, we made 360whp/tq. However, if they hadn't recalibrated the dyno, Ray suspects it to be around the 380/385whp mark. E85 may be in the future even though we wouldn't up the boost. He feels running higher boost with the 16g isn't the best thing for it.

Glad to hear an update and that it’s still going strong after everything you went through. Any pics of the dyno results?
