i'm having a hard time believing this...those tires must be rubbing the crap out of your coilovers. Although, this is the Baddest wide tire set up on a wrx evar!!! suspension and wheel specs?

Hey all I never said this was real! I just said "Beef lol". I was just F'n with you all! I only wish I could have this, but it would be highly impractical "for me" to have this wide a set-up on a bugeye that's a daily driver.

Setup I am looking into... Need advice.
Im looking at Rota Torque 17x7.5 +48 and looking to put BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 @ 245/40/17 on them. 05 WRX Sedan, stock suspension, ride height, etc... Anyone with opinions on this? Everything I've read says it should fit. Couldn't find anyone running these tires, and very few people running these wheels. I locked the wheels and measured the spacing, it seems like it will be alright. What do you think? Also, I absolutely detest stretched tires, beefy is GOOD. Is 245 a good size for 7.5 rims to get some beef on it? Im running 205/55/16 on the stockers now. Hope to get some good advice. Thanks.

245 is to big for a 7.5" wheel and will make the sidewall feel squishy. A 225/45 is said to be the best for a 17x7.5" wheel.
+48mm offset is a very common offset with subaru's and will fit with no problems on your 05 wrx |

New wheels, tire questions (again)
So it looks like Im going to be getting 17x7.5 inch wheels. I have a line on a set of g-force TA KDW 2s in 235/40/17. What does everyone think. Will that extra 10mm cause an issue? Also, I cant find 225/40/17 anywhere. Theres a few track tires, but that isnt what Im looking for. Any advice would be appreciated greatly. Thanks.
*edit - Also, if I went with 17x8 +48 would the 235/40/17 still look meaty? Anyone running that particular setup on stock suspension? I dont want them to rub, and I would prefer to not have to modify the car just yet. Again, I always look to the people on this board for answers (usually I find them without asking) This board is the single best resource for any Subaru owner. Thanks in advance, again. Could you put a 225 tire on a 7.5 inch wheel?
