Cool OT: New BMW 3 Series compact

Has anyone else read about the new BMW 3 series compact coming to the States? I don't remember the exact details of the article, but it's supposed to be a smaller, lighter, cheaper 3 series. The pic they had of it looked awesome. Anybody heard anything else about it? When it's coming out? How much it will cost? Oh...I saw and read about it in the lastest Automobile Magazine.

I was just at a BWM dealer... he said it will be slightly faster, but if it looks anything like the bmws they had there, I sure don't want it... the 328ci was all honda'd up, complete with useless spoiler and other honda-esque features... a sad thing to happen to a fine german automaker...

call me crazy, but I think a spoiler on a 328ci probably does just as much as the spoiler on the RS, and since the BMW has a higher top speed...

doh, forgot to use proper english...

I love the new 328Ci! Everything it is rocks! Except for the price. I don't think we can critizise other car's so called mfg "ricyness" as long as we have this useless hood scoop and wing on the RS. =(
