I find myself the older I am, the more I want to drive older car especially manual.
Although my wife warn me for any STi version of Subaru because the back seat is too stiff...still shopping for 2008-2009 WRX STi in white stock...

I'm 29 now on my third scoob. The first one I had, I was about 20 and I had an 86 RX-T sedan, 4x4 2.2l Turbo. Probably one of the funnest cars I've ever owned till I blew it up by throwing an old Saab turbo on it, cranking the boost, jumped it full send over some railroad tracks. My second was a 97 legacy gt, slapped some coil overs on with wheels and daily drove it till it got totaled by a drunk driver. There where two Toyotas and a BMW in my life between those two. Now I have an 06 Outback Sport that I bought with the intentions to lift and turn into an adventure rig, but it's level of SLOW is making me consider trading it in for a WRX.

I'm 27 years old and I currently drive a 99 Impreza L. It -was- my project car but recently became my daily driver and only car after my MX-5 got smashed in from the back at a good 70mph. RIP little Miata <3

I bought this car with the sole intentions of 1) learning how to work on cars, and 2) eventually building the thing to be a sexy, powerful street machine. Long term goals are an eventual STI engine and drivetrain swap, though for now I'm trying to get it to run as reliably as possible while it is my only car.

First car: 50% 1999 Buick Century 50% rust.
2nd car, First Subaru: 2006 Outback 2.5i. (I really wanted the XT but the one I looked at was manual and I chickened out, got suckered into buying a 2.5i auto :c)
3rd car: Traded the Outback for the 2007 Miata.

Smashed in miata for reference :c

Had mine for about Three years now, bought it from a shady individual, worked perfectly the first few months then had the have the turbo redone twice and it had some real shoddy repair work that caused me issues. Still love the car!

Good choice for a young kid: great handling, not too much power. Will definitely teach her to drive, and it's reliable and gas efficient to boot (and cheaper to insure than a WRX or STI).

And yes it is a Subaru, why would I want to change you mind?
