24, Recently picked up a 2016 WRX STI Limited; coming from a 2008 WRX 5-door that Ive been driving for the better half of the past decade.

I miss having a 5-door, but after putting so many miles on my hatch I have really forgotten what its like to drive a low mileage example of a WRX/STI, regardless of how well it is maintained. All the newer features Im still familiarizing myself with.

I'm 36 and only got an 06 Impreza 2.0i wagon. The 92kw version lol!!! I've had a few fast cars in my time but always rear wheel drives. This is my 1st AWD and I'm hooked! What it lacks in power it more than makes up for in the bends and in the wet? Omg!!! So I scored a 98 forester turbo with 60000 miles on it and being new to the subie world I was wondering if I could get some tips on what I can and can't use off the donor car?

The 90's models are like legos you can change like 80% of the parts across platforms and then some even into to 2000's models. I have a 97 impreza sedan and running 02 forester suspension. Grant the forester was built on the impreza chasis at one point.

I put 2002 outback suspension an my 91 legacy all I needed to do was swap the rear top hats over. I laughed when pick in pull asked the cars year, i let them know these will work just fine. Lol

I'm just shy of being a third of the way around the sun for the 72nd time. Which I'm guessing means I'll be on the top line and toward the left on the list of "Today's Birthdays" some months from now.

I bought my first new car in 1971, and it was a 4-speed stick.

Counting the above car, the WRX that we just bought is only the eighth car we've ever bought. They've all been manual transmission cars.

Also in the driveway are a 2008 Mustang GT (that I drive in the occasional HPDE event) and a 2001 Maxima. Granddaughter now has the '95 Mazda 626 that we had up until a few years ago.

I'd post pictures except that I'm still not allowed to post attachments. Best I can do for now is suggest going to my public profile page, where there's a thumbnail pic of our 2019 WRX Limited.

After what Photobucket did to so many people a while back I'm uneasy about any of those sites.

Maybe a very short youtube clip will work - YT is the only hosting service I've ever used (for track time videos, mostly).

Geeeeesh ... i'm 59 and feel like i'm almost too old to post in this thread !
I drive an 09 Impreza as a daily driver , drive an 89 911 during the nicer days in the Summer, been racing an 83 944 SP2 in PCA for the last five years after lapping ( DE's ) with the 911 for 7-8 years and drive a 2010 F150 to haul my trailer and race car around !
Oh, and i maintain my son's 08 WRX ...

Come to think of it ... you're never too old to have fun !
