I noticed that as well. The STI is inverted on that brake caliper in the same picture as well.

I'm more excited about the ts being back than the sti honestly, I know everyone says it is underpowered but the ts package significantly improves handling and makes it a blast to drive even more so than a normal BRZ

And what is the take rate for the CVT? Is it worse than the Forester XT?

According to Subaru in this article, it is around ~10% for the CVT when including the STI production. Looking at national used cars sales and including only WRX production its around 14%, the few times I have looked.

Which is why all of them are gonna replace those wheels almost immediately for something way more concave or deep dish, right?

They look very "upscaled economy car" for sure. I know if I got those I'd swap them out for something less wannabe BMW.

The Brembos have me severely interested though...my '15's brakes do not exactly inspire confidence

Quoted for the truth. Let's see how many 2018 owners trade up for a "lower payment"

With the New Subispeed tail lights they already have this will complete the altima look.

I think it's good they have a 4 piston brembo option on the wrx, I wonder what color they will be?
Not alot of tire on that rim. Id be afraid to hit a pothole or recessed manhole or something like that.

Welcome to 2019. Even Imprezas come with 40 sidewall tires on 18" wheels.

Glad you mentioned recessed manhole covers because those things are basically potholes. Especially in New York City.

There are some bad ones in Anchorage that I've learned to avoid, but it's still annoying that I have to avoid them.

Man this was my issue too. If the STI had keyless in base form i'd have one now but that was kind of my deal breaker when looking earlier this year. It was just too base. Unfortunately bought another car a month ago and will be waiting for the new redesign..

Performance package wrx actually lives up to its name now, those pathetic red calipers and jurid pads weren't fooling anyone.

The STI in has been coming with heated seats for at least 11 years standard.

I'm glad that my, now 5 year old car, is still the same as the newest ones coming out. And this is not bitching that the 2020 model is not all new. I am not expecting it to be, Subaru has always been on 5/6 year model cycles.

Nice man! I just ordered a 2020 base STI over the weekend and I have the same ETA as you. I'm on the west coast, I wonder if they are just giving out the same general ETA for all orders at this point.

And if they're not basically potholes when you first meet them, come winter they definitely will be

Except the took away the wing and only dropped the price by half of what the wing costs. Everything else remains the same though.

sweet...i'm curious as well...i assume that's probably when the first 2020 will start to drop all over, not just west coast specific...

I know people hated the first Ts giant carbon fiber wing, but I'm bummed they took it away from us this time around.

Group buy on the updated front air vents anyone?

Yes. The ETAs will all be the same initially.

I've ordered a 2020 Limited STI also. No ETA yet however... I'm in Canada.

Congrats. I think it'll be a great package combining the more efficient FA20 with the Recaros & Brembos. Given that you have a 2016, I'll be interested to hear your opinion on the EPS and transmission/shifter "improvements" that Subaru supposedly made for 2018 refresh. Did you opt for the oem short shifter?

Any plans for it? Adding some minor mods like a shift stop, shifter bushing, group n trans mount, steering damp(en)er lockdown, and flex fuel tune should make for a great car.

The 2020 Performance package would have been a tempting option for me if I hadn't just purchased my '19 STI. My wife was already complaining that I was trading my '16 WRX in for "the same car".

How are you guys placing orders? I stopped into my local dealer (and emailed another dealer not too far away), and they stated they can't place orders yet. Have you guys just put deposits down and told them what you want and they will place the order when they open up? Or are some dealers able to place orders earlier than others?

i think ordering a car is dependent on the sales person...the original sales person that i talked to (when i went in) did not have access/privilege on his account to order a new car. Therefore he had to use another sales person's account to order the car.

I'm guessing this is the case for some sales people as I reached out to 10+ dealers and no one was able to order...but all of a sudden this one dealer could...so I think it just has to do with the individual sales account and what they can/cannot do.

On the day that Subaru released pricing I reached out to a dealer that I had previously discussed buying a 2019 from, and asked about placing an order on a 2020. I went in the next day and placed the order, no deposit required. I also got the VON and an email from SOA a day later confirming my order so it seems that it is in fact officially ordered.

I was a bit skeptical at first since Subaru still doesn't have the 2020s listed on their site for build and price. So yeah, I don't know how it works...

Syracuse is in Subaru Distributors Corp. An independent Subaru distributor. Not SOA. Ordering may not be available with them just yet. I'd imagine it wouldn't be long.

Any clue if the Subaru 1.9% financing will be available when they're released?
