Saw it at midnight! It rocked.

Unfortunately, I already read the book, and it was better...

It was amazing, but I just kept sitting there hoping that it wouldn't happen. I knew that it wouldn't be there, but you can't help but hope for a happy ending. It is just saddening to see it all falling apart, and in the end, he only gains retribution for his actions by what happens in Return of the Jedi, just before his death.

The rest of the films are a Saturday serial, this one is a greek tragedy, but it is fantastic.

Now it is time to get a good 4 hours sleep before I have to go to work.

I have my tickets for Friday night already. Going to be hard waiting until then. I know watching it all fall apart and knowing how bad it would get will make it hard to watch, but I just have to.

I'm waiting until next week. I'll be very suprised if I come away from it without a bad taste in my mouth. The Rolling Stone review really said everything was as expected without sugar-coating anything, so I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to throw down my $.

I'm expecting another LOTR:ROTK ending to a saga. Lots of meaningless footage of battling, excruciating dialog, and an ending I'm expected to cheer for but feel more like filling a bucket.

*ignore me, I'm just being ultra cynical because it's Thursday morning (and hence, not a Saturday morning)*

Our entire office is going this afternoon to the Rave. We get very few perks but on occasion we get to do stuff like this.

I got to see it at 3 AM with my buddy at the AMC at Concord Mills here in NC. Since he is in managment there, twas just about five of us in that beautiful dolby digital theatre Woot. Great movie. Totally made up for the past two piles of crap. I only have a few problems with the movie (and im not a Star Wars nut or anything.)

Itty bitty spoiler warning? Idk.

But when Darth Vader is strapped into that table, and he rises up and breaks the arm restraints and screams or whatever. Wow. That = cheese. I almost laughed at how forced it was.

But when we got outta the theatre, it was 6 AM! YIKES.

Overall: Great movie! I'd easily watch it a few more times.
