glad to see reviews rolling in; I watched an early fanboy review and had to take away from it what I could, but they certainly didn't do any spirited driving. The edmunds complaints about the center tablet/screen and lack of analog controls are my biggest gripes as well; I'd have to sit in one and try it out for a while to determine if I could live with it on a daily basis. I guess if everything was automatic & functioned properly (headlights, wipers etc.) and there was some auditory response "car warn me if I exceed x speed" or "car, set cruise control at xxmph", "car tune radio to xxx.x fm" kinda thing I might be more comfortable with it; I know you can program the two steering wheel nubbins, but that's not going to cover everything I want at my fingertips.

The lack of analog controls is my biggest gripe. I think the base model is the best value to be honest. If I wanted to get into a car again, I’d heavily consider a Model 3 base, maybe a few options but not much. When it’s fully loaded I just don’t see price tag matching that particular car.

Tesla saving that soon to expire $7500 taxpayer spiff for loaded models and more profitable Model S. Also why they restrict model 3 production. Keep in mind there is zero profit an anything they make if you include production facility costs in the math.

Yes, I know and am aware and have stated that several times in the thread. Profitability needs to be addressed as capital funding doesn't last forever.

Another good review from USA Today:

This quote says it all:
Quote:
Overall: The first truly compelling, mid-priced electric sedan.

Isn't it the only mid priced electric sedan?

What? You mean it costs money to start a car company from scratch?

Nowai.
