Easiest way to do classes is normally inducer wheel size, tires, and weight. You need rules to keep things fair but there's no need to get out of control with them.

The Evo 8? It's together, but I doubt we will run it again. It's going to be up for sale shortly I believe.

I'd love to do a Subaru shop car, it seems unlikely though. I would take my personal car out to this potential event, unfortunately it's no 9 second car as I'm the one that has to foot the bill for it.

chicagoland would be a great place to hold this event.

to rent Byron is out of the question, GLD 'MAYBE' but they dont tend to rent it out during weekends. CORDOVA is the option of renting it.

Byron works just fine if they only do a T&T on the same day as Subarus.

So basically P&l and Fastech Motorsports, etc would be in unlimited because of our turbo size...right? We cant race against esx tube frame cars....lol

I suggest all the east coast guys get together and do a whole tractor trailer load of cars if it's going to be in CA. Usually it's $1000 per car each way coast to coast. I bet you could negotiate that quite a bit for one whole load with no stops.

I'd suggest a street legal, stock appearing, street tire, stock location turbo class. Like what etown runs.

tossing this out here:
http://www.rockfallsraceway.com/

I run the staging and oversee the start line at this track. It is a small, but quality track that would be great for this sort of shindig. The timing is state of the art, 0-120' was just repaved, etc.

Everyone would get real special treatment

It is a nice midway from EC to WC too

Where would the east coast pickup be NY? Buffalo? I know 3 fast cars up here being built right now that would be interested if we could meet up and get on the trailer, then fly out...

Probably NYC area is most central to all the east coast cars.

I'd be total in for this if it's central like GLD or Byron. I just couldn't afford diesel to drive to CA.

NYC is hardly a central location. It might be close to a few tune shops up there, but what about Virgina, Florida, GA, etc. even Illinois or Ohio........

I personally think the race should take place around the middle of the country......How many fast cars are really in the west? I feel like there are more cars in the east going fast....NO offense Ali.

No, nyc area would be central for the east coast people as a pick up location for cars if they had to be shipped to the west coast.

well then his first point is still correct

however I guess it would really matter upon who is actually going.

If it were on the east coast (not costing $2k in diesel) I'd be much more motivated to give a definite 'yes'.

Considering what race commitments I already have for next year, I'm iffy on the time(=$$) commitment.

Honestly, if you want the best racing, the North East is where to do it.. E-town is great but the curfew is pretty lame.

Absolutely agree with this. E town has a few things that aren't that great about it, but the curfew is dumb.. Although I would hate to own property near it

I think if we all get our cars ready we could get a transport for 6-7k that will hold 8-10cars. Would not be that bad all things considered.

Renting Byron out for a day is 25k from what I heard.

I'll go against the trend of wanting it in my backyard and say I wouldn't mind going to California. I've never been there and it'd be something different.

No it's probably closer to 25K on a weekend and for sure not 2.5K. It's a national event nhra track.
