Default Have no idea what to look for, someone help!

I used to know what they were but now I'm at a loss.

My wife had this glass bulb with a little "propeller" inside that was turned by convection heat. If you put it in the window the sunlight would heat it up and something about the heat difference would make the little propeller inside spin. Same thing would happen if you put it on a hot stove or something.

I have no idea what to look for to find it. I knew once but it's long lost somewhere in the back of my mind.
