WRX 06 - Clutch pedal "clack" noise FIX!
Well I had a clack noise halfway pedal travel, everytime the pedal was pressed or released.
It was very disturbing and could even be felt as if something was broken. It made me dose the clutch badly. At first I thought it could be a spring or some dry mechanism, put nice oil everywhere but it did not work. Then I saw some posts on nasioc but none of them had a concluding fix. The only temporal solution seemed to be a pedal mount replace (too much $$$ not nice) So I engaged yesterday on a contortionism session and finally found the real issue and stupidly easy and cheap fix. Apparently the plates signaled in the picture flex too much and rub causing the disturbing clack. I verified the issue putting a screwdriver between the plates and amazingly the noise and clack feel disappeared. So just put some lubricant in there and enjoy your new super smooth clutch pedal.
