That is the plan....
for 3.6 and 3.0L engines.... and, I already have some Custom billet connecting rods being made for the 3.6L oddball rod setup!!!!! along with some custom forged pistons with a lower compression ratio to allow the engine to be much more boost friendly.... I gotta get the Supercharger kit ironed out first before saying "GO" on the project though... Thanks again for the interest!!! RYNO |

Given Tribeca is not the only Subaru with a 3.6 now (Outback/Legacy), there should be much more demand for this thing when the 2010's roll onto the lots this summer.

Bump for this!! Dooo it!!! If we buy a Tribeca in the future (possibility) then a suprecharger and 6MT swap would be the mod plan for it

I agree with you guys looking to go for lower compression pistons, but it seems like such a waste of time to take apart the engine on a Tribeca and boost it when you could buy second sportier car to play with.
If I hadn't been through so much crap boosting a 2000 Impreza RS with a 10:1 motor (and then a 9:1 and finally a blueprinted 8:1 motor) I might have been more interested in this. But I think boosting a high compression engine is very tricky because you spend a lot of time right on the edge of disaster. And, I've blown a few transmissions in my day as well as motors after boosting the HP, including 2 stock and 2 PAR and Chalak gearsets in the RS. In the end I wound up with a 2004 STi when they first came out, with 200 less horsepower but a lot more peace of mind. I wish I had never traded it for the Tribeca, but I had a 2 year period where my 3 kids were at three different schools in three different carpools, and I needed a bigger car to carry extra kids to one school instead of only three to all the school. Now I'm ready to go back to a sportier more powerful car, but I think a boosted Tribeca may be a mistake. I recall Cobb Tuning had a SC Tribeca for a while and sold it and that was the end of it. What happened with that? |

PM box full
I'm very interested in the strengthened rods. Please email or PM me. I have a 3.6 that will be supercharged going into a 91 vanagon. Raptor supplying some parts and tuning!

2008 Tribeca
I am looking for adding some power to my H6 engine. Any modification out there that would help this built would be appreciated.
