Default Driving to Kelowna from Richmond

Heading out to Kelowna from Richmond. Will be taking the STI.

Anyone got any heads-ups for traveling this kind of distance? Things to look out for? Never been further than the Seattle Premium Outlets with her ^^.

Just watch out for cops on the straight downhill sections on the 5A section. I too predict you crack you windshield.

Oh yeah, don't be a p#$sy on the Smasher on the way back. Actually, just have good situational awareness and you'll be fine.

Piss breaks / fuel breaks: take 'em. It'll keep your mind fresh.

Happy driving!

Rock chips won't be a problem if there aren't any rocks flying at you. Hence don't tail gate and keep your distance from trucks

rock chips and bug splatter mainly

watch out also when entering/leaving Merritt. Lots of cops hiding behind the billboards just outside the city. The speed limit there decreases down to 60 I believe.

Rockchips are only an issue when its snowing and they are putting on gravel ..Enforcement limit on the coke is 16 k over .. so you can run 125k .. You will still get passed by dozens of cars ..lol

If you are taking the coke there is a section towards the end that has a bunch of dirt and small rocks buildup in the middle of the lanes. Watch out for people passing you and merging over..... dirt everywhere (and don't be a douche and do the same). The easiest way around this is to be ahead of everyone.

thanks for the headsups everyone. The trip was great, drive was nice.

Luckily they were laying gravel on the end section as I was heading back, not on my way there so I got to avoid that along with the traffic build up it caused.

SO MUCH DEAD BUGS. Gonna have to spend some time getting that off.

Didn't speed much, radar detector went off a few times when I got lasered, but I wasn't speeding

Some people on the highway are maniacs though ...
