I went to sleep with gum in my mouth and now there's gum in my hair and when I got out of bed this morning I tripped on the skateboard and by mistake I dropped my sweater in the sink while the water was running and I could tell it was going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day

The gum didn't go down your windpipe.

The skateboard wasn't a claymore mine.

The sink wasn't full of concentrated sulphuric acid.

What the hell are you complaining about?

Once I visited a friend in Denver and for some reason my wife draped a sweater over one of those upward facing halogen lamps. Well, later that night we were cooking for them and for some reason his wife went into the bedroom we were staying in and flipped on the light switch.

Shortly after, we sat down for dinner and noticed that there was quite an eye burning char smell in the air. We opened a window thinking it was just something that spilled in the oven and was burning off. A couple minutes went by and it just got worse. I think I came to the realization that it was coming from the room behind me, so I walked over to it.

My wife's sweater was almost fully engulfed in flames atop their lamp. I yanked it off and sprinted with it to the front door and threw it on the porch and stomped it out.

Except mine is the past 3 weeks.

I was about to make a thread about what cheered me up.
Went out and bought Phil Collins: The Hits. Played it @ max volume singing my heart out in the car.

I feel quite good.

Nothing like Easy Lover and In the Air Tonight to lift one's soul.

Hmmm.
Danger Zone?
Footloose?

Good songs. But that would have to be a selection procured through alternate methods. I gave $15 hard earned dollars for this album, it was worth it.

Check out Nonpoint's cover of In the Air Tonight - love me some Phil Collins but it's nice to hear a new take on an old favorite every now and again.
