Default why dont u.s foresters look like this (I know this isnt impreza but subie related)

Now the Japanes have invented something to rival that pimped out escalade stile we like in the u.s. Why don't our foresters look like this? we alwase get the short end of the stick.

I want to know what you guys think, would you get this if you wanted something to cruise in style with while rolling deep with a big group of friends booming a phat system? just curious.

Hey, we even drove it (and a prodrive STi) a while ago. It's somewhere down the list of articles on apexjapan.com.

I wouldn't call it a drift machine, but then, I moved away from a drift style when I moved into Subaru's. It does handle very well, though, and is quite chuckable through tight corners. Basically a simple case of going in smooth, tapping the brakes to shift the weight forward, then on the gas again to apex smoothly through. Lots of down-low grunt keeps it moving pretty well, though the top end doesn't have the yee-haw factor of the other Subaru turbo's.

The body kit looks pretty good in person, better than most STi efforts. I wish they could do as well on Legacy's. The suspension isn't too hard, nice ride, smooth yet controlled. The STi suspension is on sale in Japan right now, and it shouldn't be too hard to find it overseas when the U.S. Turbo Forester goes on sale.

All in all, probably the 2nd choice in a Subaru for me, besides the Legacy B4. I'd go for a WRX STi, but not with the family I have, and the Forester, even with the STi suspension bits, is just a very nice ride.

Cheers,

Paul Hansen

Smile They look so nice.

They are sweet rides being in Japan I have been to the dealer just to look around. I have been looking into the new full size wagons as well with a nice sticker on it that says 280 ps not sure but I think they may be twin turbo. Subie definately got some tricks up their sleeves.
