![]() There are some spots where you can see they are driving biasedly. An example is on the 'icy hill' rollers. When the LGT gets there, they lay on the gas pretty hard and it eventually gets up. When the Volvo XC90, albeit after a fair amount of effort, starts to get moving, either the TCU or the driver cuts power. In Subaru's defense, the Volvo's power cut may be occuring electronically to 'reduce slippage.'
It'd be more believeable if we had RPM, Speed, gear, and throttle position indicators shown on the vid. Personally, I want to see how the STi, with its extra LSDs, does on the 'slippery roads'. |

![]() Bias?
That video is supposed to be shown to someone strapped in a chair with their eyelids wired open as a machine drops eyedrops in their eyes. With "buy a Subaru, buy a Subaru" repeating in the back ground. "Buy a Subaru, Buy a Subaru, KILL THE PRIME MINISTER OF MALAYSIA!!!" |

![]() Yeah it's biased, but for the hill climbs you can clearly see the front wheels moving and the rear ones totally NOT. On an AWD drive car... all the wheels should be driving

![]() A lot of "real time" type AWD's are 100% FWD until the fronts slip then it will start transferring power to the back.

![]() Most definitely more than somewhat biased. Maybe the Volvo really is that bad, but I kind of doubt it. The announcer sounded like someone out of the '50s.

![]() I rented a Murano, not Millano, last winter and it didnt stop like that when presented with wheel spin or inclines. It was actually a pretty nice SUV. I have never driven or ridden in a Tribeca so I am in no position to compare the two. But I can say it spent some time "Off Road" and handled everything i threw at it with stride.

![]() Someone told me the other day that the new "Symmetrical AWD" is front wheel drive based and sends power to the rear when needed, while the older subarus have a 50/50 split. I was under the impression that there is a front, center, and rear differential with 50/50 power on the new cars. and what kind of diffs are they? Someone want to clear all that up for me?
