Central Valley Meet

Come on there has to be enough scooby owners in the
central valley to make a good meet,to shot the breeze
and compare mods
Is there anyone near or in the central valley near stockton?

I've been wanting to get a met together too. too far to drive to the bay area, but there dosen't seem to be as many "down" ass cars around here. I am going to the auto-x in atwater tomorrow.I met a few cool guys there last time from turlock area. let me know if you want to do a met though I have 3 WRXs that would be down. later, Brad o.

I may be able to hook up with you guys for a meet sometime...I don't know if I'll drive all the way to Stockton though.

woh someone posted while I was typing. central valleys coming up in the scooby world. Whats up wackie, wow what a comute, do you do it in your WRX? do you have any mods?

The commute isn't that bad. It's just over an hour. Hour and a half if I'm driving slow. Yes, in my WRX.

It helps I only do it twice a week. I have an apartment in Sac that I stay at Sunday-Thursday. I rent a 3 bedroom house that has a pool with a couple friends in Atwater. Nice cheap place to live and party. Loose women and an abundance of alcohol.

I think last month my share of rent and utilities was $350. Gotta love the central valley for that.

As for mods, I have VS0 and MRT Turbo Back. Lots of CELs, lots more fun. I have plenty of other toys on there, but that's all the go-fast-in-straight-line mods.

Dude, I just found out I won't be able to attend another auto-x until at least May...damnit. Family events are really jacking up the schedule!

I'm going to have to take a ride in all of your cars so I can decide which go-fast parts to buy! My junk is still like you saw it on 2/27, just lowered a little bit. Still waiting on different springs and swaybars.

I've only seen 2 other Rexes in Stockton. One wrb sedan... still had dealer plates on and an aspen white wagon.

I've been doing the Stockton-Sac. commute for only about 5 months and the only Rexes I see get on I-5 @ Laguna... I think I've seen 3 different ones get on I-5 there.... all WRB wagons.

So any of you want to meet up this Saturday in Modesto I think it's centrally located. We can do a lunch thing or preferably a night meet at the local cruise strip. Not to cruise but meet and bull******. Show of hands and sugestions, to see if any interest or do it later with more notice. laterz

every day.

I think a day meet would be better see it would be easier

Sat. in Modesto sounds good. By local cruising strip, you mean McHenry? I think it would have to be later afternoon for me though. I'll be at a show 'n' shine in Atwater during the morning and early afternoon for the custom car/truck club I hang out with.

You guys do understand that "cruising" is illegal on McHenry?!?

Just wouldn't like to read about 5 impreza's getting busted for picking the wrong street to meet on......

I am from Modesto, and still go back almost every other weekend, so a meet there shouldn't be too difficult for me to attend.

Yup. I realize it's illegal. There's a crapload of signs up on every corner warning you.

A couple of my friends with bagged trucks have come really close to being towed off McHenry. But meeting and cruising are two entirely different things. Besides, if we're there in the day they're not going to care. That place doesn't get busy with people cruising until later in the night (I'm sure you know that, being from Modesto).

I guess thats a pretty good show of hands, there's a couple more that are down in modesto. Since I mentioned this I guess I should sugest the time and place. I just found out I have to work till about 3:00 P.m tomorrow so I'm sugesting meeting up later at night 8:00ish (sat.) at Starbucks at the corner of Mc Henry and Briggsmore. The parking lot is well LIT and because starbucks is open late cops can't tell us to leave. Oh yea, be careful on Mc Henry cops will look for a reason to pull you over. If you take 99 to Modesto get off on the briggsmore exit stay on briggsmore till you come to Mc Henry. Starbucks Is directly to your left. back from the road along with a Quizno's ect. I hope this works well with everybody.
