Default Question for those of you OT'ers that never owned a Subie. Why this OT?

What made you come here and start t ohang out? I know some of you have never owned a Subie. What was the draw to this board and how did you find it in the first place?

I started here long after my Subaru days.

I was pointed to a thread about useless knowledge. The people were funny, except you, and I just kinda stuck around.

My enthusiam (sp?).

My parents bought our first new car since I was born in 1997. A MY98 Legacy OB. I was 10 or 11 at the time. It was also our first "import" car. Back then I thought all Japanese cars were in a way of sports car. When we got the OB, I was disappointed, it was a wagon. So I tried searching for a "sport" version of Subaru, and that it came up with WRX. Little did I know we did not have the WRX in the states, so I mistaken the RS for one when I saw my first modded RS. Years later there came my DSL and the internet. I did searches for subaru, impreza, wrx, etc. And for some reason "i-Club" popped up, it was very big and I decided to look around, no registration at the time. By the time I was very into cars, I gave it a go and asked questions. And here I am today. I cook Chinese food and browse NASIOC.

I'm one of the guys who doesn't have a Subie, yet. Although I've been wanting one since '99, I still don't have one. I found this site a while back, think when it was called impreza-rs.com, or something along those lines, although I had a different name. I'm definately a lurker here, but I've grown to really "love" the people here. This board rocks, and eventually, when I find my 2001 5-spd BRP 4-door 2.5 RS, I'll be a true member. Until then, this Nasioc.com while suck every minute of my free time and continue to force me to want a Subaru.

well... in my case I don't drive a subie, but bought my wife one a while back, and we both really like her car. So much so that when the time came for me to get a car I went to the subie dealer to see what he had, and became interested in the WRX pretty much right away. Spent a LOT of time in the news and rumors forum while awaiting details of the 04WRX, and the question of whether an STi wagon woudl be offered loomed large. I ended up getting something else in the end, but by then I had drifted into OT a few times and was hooked.

By my member # you can tell I've been here a VERY long time. I'm just a lurker who doesn't own a Scooby. I'm also too lazy to change my nick so I've kept it.

I've always been interested in Subaru's, found this site ages ago then signed up. So I've been lurking these boards before I even signed up on here. Pathetic isn't it? Atleast I get some good laughs out of this board, everything else is just lame. Well, you guys can be lame too, just don't try so hard.

I was way into the WRX from the acclaim they got in the mags. I knew I wanted a WRX and so I went to check out a local dealership, to look around at the WRX's. The salesperson I began talking to was pretty young. (under 25) I began talking with him about cars in general, and what he had done to his 2.5 rs. When I was about to leave, he said, "If you haven't been to a place called i-club.com yet, there is a lot of info there. He wrote the adress on the back of his business card, and I pretty much forgot about it. Then, a few weeks later, I was rummaging through my wallet and came across his card with the address. AFter registering here, it split within a few weeks, but I stayed with NASIOC, because I wasn't down with the whole ricer crap that stayed with i-club. Anyways, sometime around then, I stumbled upon OT, and it was more interesting than the Mid-A forums so I stuck around.

Note: Although I don't have a Subie yet, I plan on getting one.

(I hope I make a lot of $ this summer for the STi. )

uhhhhhhh.... I first came here interested in an RS and I've never left and never actually gotten rid of the Honduh yet. I love Subies and may buy one eventually but I love OT!

I planned on buying an RS and was | | that close to actually getting it before it got shot down. So I got my Nissan. But based on my overt hatred for Nissan owners (B_Tapper included ), I still hang around here, and go to local Subie meets/autoX's.

In fact, my best friend from college I met through this board.

Plus very few other message boards can hold up to the volume of this one, and that is necessary when I spend 10+ hrs a day in front of a computer (Primarily at work).
