Default Subaru Deutschland Searching for Miss All Wheel Drive

On June 2, Subaru issued a press release (see http://www.subaru-presse.de/news2005...ndAuto2005.htm) announcing that Subaru was searching for Miss All Wheel Drive. I can't tell for sure whether this is a beauty pageant type contest, but last year's winner looks pretty good to me. Click on the thumbnail to see the hi-res version.

Well, according to today's Subaru Deutschland press release at http://www.subaru-presse.de/news2005...egerin2005.htm, the search is completed. Here's a picture of this year's winner (click on it for hi-res):

Given how stunning last year's winner looked (see first post), this result is a little disappointing.

And that's not just any ordinary 06 Forester, it's the 2006 Forester Lady special edition available only in Germany - you can tell by the pink side rear-view mirrors (at least the one not knocked off by the guy with the big key). It's the special edition Subaru that nobody talks about. Subaru Germany developed it with the help of Rinspeed (a Swiss tuning company) and Swarovski (known for small crystal tchotchkes - check out the shift knob, below). It's the grand prize of this competition.

Here are some shots of the Forester Lady (click on each to see the shocking hi-res version):

Maybe, if SOA's execs had any ovaries, we'd see something like that over here. It'd clean up among women (particularly the Mary Kay crowd) and GLTBs.
