Cusco front strut bar for 06 wrx
Is there any cusco front strut bar for the 06 wrx that will fit? I heard there are some fitment issues with the redirected a/c line of the 06 wrx/sti.

The Whiteline KSB599 fits with very little work. Flip the brackets around and bend the left side down about 1/4" and you're done.

I have the Cusco bar on my 06 WRX. I did have to bend the A/C line on the driver's side, It was nothing major. Literally a 15 minute install from start to finish. No special tools were needed.

don't most, if not all, strut bar installations require some relocation of the A/C line on previous years 02-05 also?

FWIW, on a sedan with most of the major suspension mods done, I noticed a definite difference with the addition of a rear strut bar. Front, not so much - other than to reduce some creaking when going up driveways and such. Whatever you do, please don't spend $300 on some crazy carbon fiber or titanium strut tower brace if you think the higher price tag will bring higher performance. Some of the strut bars on the market belong in the Hall of Stupidity, next to things like inconel uppipes. Last edited by peterex; 05-31-2006 at 09:56 PM. |
