Question My fog lights in my 04 keep blowing, please help

So I searched and read a few threads which is why I am posting. I have an 04 WRX and every few months a fog light on one side of the car blows out(both sides). I have been doing this for the past few years and its annoying. The fogs I am using are the Piaa yellowstars 55w. I like the yellow ones because I have HID's for headlights. I am about to change to stock bulbs but does anyone else have this problem? The bulbs are only like 5-6$ each but its just annoying having always to replace them.

Any suggestions, as I wana keep yellow fogs....?

Jay

The problem may be due to excessive vibration. I would check the charging voltage and make sure it isn't above 14.8 volts DC while the engine is running around 2,000 RPM. Also check the AC voltage and make sure it isn't more than 0.1 volt.

The simpilest thing to do then is just have a shop look at the charging system and ask them to check those things. You could also purchase a voltmeter for around 35 dollars and do the tests yourself. Learning how to use a meter is fairly simple with a little practice. Once you get familiar with it you will most likely wonder how you got along without it.
