Default Your Opinion on 2007 STI Limited

Not that I would get rid of my baby, but what do you all think about the STI limited coming out in 07? Looks more "mature" although the advertised HP is now 293. What are your alls opinion on it?

They should have offered leather and a sunroof with the 04-05s, its a little late because people who wanted leather and a sunroof just go the evo.

To me the Limited should be a coupe not 4 doors.

The HP is down due to the new SAE measuring methods. It's making the exact same hp, it's just be measured a more accurate way. I'd expect most cars to not have nice even HP numbers anymore.

As for my thoughts on it STI-Limited, I'd love to have one, and it would be a great replacement for my 06 LTD wrx. The only issue I see if that the dealers are going to have a field day with this car. Only 500 being produced with only 2 different colors, and they will all be numbered. I would expect these cars to get atleast a 2k mark up from the regular sti, and then probaly 1-2k on the dealers lot.

Hopefully they will see a demand for this car and when/if the 08 model change comes will have a it as a option, and not a limited produced model.

If I could afford whatever retarded price they are going to go for I would get one.

They are making 800, not 500. 400 of each color.

Its a pretty cool car, I guess for those who don't want to show the rally roots so much, but thats why I love the STi.

I also agree its going to be expensive though, nothing like having a numbered, limited, special edition car though. You can imagen the resale value will skyrocket one day.

Thats if our cars ever sell like the old muscle cars do in 40 or 50 years.

I like the car but there are a couple things I had wish they would have done different. First I think they should have done half leather and half alcantra (or whatever that material is called). That way it would hold you in your seat better. Also I kind of wish they didn't put a sunroof on the car. I love my sunroof in my LGT Limited, but I think if I got the STI I would want the weight savings and extra head room. Those are the only two things though. Otherwise I would take a white one

I think they are GREAT!!! the styling and the "options" that come with it. But would i ever buy one? No, i HATE leather so i would never get one. that and there are only going to be 800, I'm not paying 40K (i dont know how much they are, so I'm guessing) for a better styled STI

The whole Front end still hasn't grown on me. The sunrook and heated seats option is nice though.

if the 07 front end is the same as the 06 then i have to agree...it just doesnt do it for me either...although there are some sick kits that make that frontend look good.

My opinion?

I don't see the point of this thing. The sunroof is going to hurt the car for anything motorsports related (all that weight uptop, plus helmet clearance), as will the leather seats, which make an already crappy seat worse (slip n' slide). Plus, it lacks the big spoilers It's the worst of both worlds. It's not nice enough to be a luxury car and the luxury stuff hurts the performance (albeit not massively).

If those things don't matter to you, you might as well buy an LGT or Spec B, because it's got basically the same engine, a smaller turbo, and a much nicer interior, and the Spec B at least has the 6-speed, the gas mileage dealie, and should ride more smoothly.

Or, buy a slightly used 330i. MUCH nicer interior, excellent handling/brakes, and very good power as well.

Pretty much what BUTTDYNO said...I don't like the sunroof option or the cost to insure it...other than that I like it but would rather get a 2007 Legacy spec-B.

I'd rather have a de-winged regular STI personally. Not a fan of leather. And I like the new (06+) front end.

So which ever of you decided to over spend for that. Would you like to trade trunks?

They should have added more power like buick did with the GNX or just brought the s204 here......
