That should do it.

Here's another tip:

When you're getting ready to put the center console back together again, before you snap all of the clips in place, make sure that you can see those mechanical cables on the driver's and passenger's side. I almost couldn't find the cable on the passenger's side after I had snapped the center console back in place, and came very close to having to remove it again. I was barely able to find it by poking and reaching blindly with my fingers, but it was a close call.

Also, don't forget to protect your dash with painter's tape, as I showed in my previous pictures.

Son of a BITCH that sucked. But everything appears to be working. I soldered the parking brake switch into the ground wire of the harness. I also only have two screws holding it in, but that's because kenwood doesn't know how to frickin place screw holes. And it felt sturdy to me.
Did happen to forget the microphone, but I don't use bluetooth for calls and wouldn't in a car this noisy.

Congrats. I'm sorry it was an unpleasant job for you. Mine took a long time because I was going slow, but I was generally enjoying myself and was pleased with the result.

Anyway, you probably saved $200 doing it yourself!

It literally left me scarred and otherwise wounded. I ripped half an inch of skin off of my fingernail, and got several pokes under the fingernail, and otherwise bruised several times.

i'm not looking forward to taking my dash apart again to install my new amp, but i think the result will be worth it. just need to find time to do it and somewhere to stash an amp that is 7.5x2.5x1.5" (alpine KTP 445U)

How heavy is the amp? If it's light (and doesn't generate huge amounts of heat), you can do what I did with my Pioneer XM receiver and zip tie it up as high as possible in the front passenger's side foot area (under the glove compartment, and to the left of the blower fan motor). I can only see it if I have the passenger's seat fully reclined, and even then, I can barely see it. And it's easy to get cabling from the HU to this area.

For reference, my XM receiver's dimensions are 5.5 x 7 x 1.1 inches--a larger footprint than your amp's.

It's pretty light, heavier than a tuner but not by much. I will do some looking

Also, gold, I did the whole install without removing my glove box. I don't know why people said they had to remove it. In fact, it was easier than the driver's side where there was hydraulic fluid in a pipe at about 400º right next to the linkage.

Sorry don't know where else to ask this, I have the crap 2012 Stereo and am looking to pull the trigger on a setup for it, but half the bestbuy employee's don't know what they're talking about and I don't know enough to differentiate them from the good employee's .
You can get the install nearly free right now if you pair them correctly. You can get $100 of Faceplate with Speaker & install, and $100 of Sub and amp with install.

Sub 8" Polk DXI108 - $150
Amp 600W A/B 4 Channel PA660 - $200
Alpine Speaker SPE-6000 - $60

The concerns I have with this setup are a) Can the 4 channel amp power just the front speakers & the amp? b) Do I need two pre-amp outputs or one? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Yes. I need to look up in the owner's manual how to reset it. I guess this happens whenever the battery is disconnected.

I also noticed that starting the car for the first time after reconnecting the battery is difficult. I assume this is normal too.

If you're thinking about adding satellite radio to a Pioneer head unit, you should read this thread first:

You need to roll it half down then up, then all the way down and up. That should make it work again

My automatic windows worked half-assed after I disconnected the battery the first time. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I didn't notice any difference starting it. LMK if you find anything about it, I like my automatic windows...

Edit: the post above me is sorta right. Just play around with them like a little kid for a minute or two and they work fine.

Wow!

Alpine KTP 445u = perfect upgrade for factory radio amplifier. Only problem is now i will need new speakers too because the stock ones distort easily now, couldn't really get then to distort with the factory radio. I used to run +6 to +8 bass and treble. Now maybe +2 bass and neutral mid/treble. A lot of the boominess is gone too with a similar sound to my ear and ear splitting volumes.

Volume level 6 now is equivalent to 20 before and 25 is pretty much too loud.

Great purchase for 125 ( 170 with the harness from svdx)

Hello everyone. I looked into getting the CDN bezel that comes with the Pioneer unit. The bezel comes together with the Pioneer Nav, can't buy it separately. Hopefully there will be a JDM solution .

yeah, i messed with mine just to see how they sounded at full range w/o the crossover turned on and they sucked.

i'm still running my OEM speakers w/ the amp crossed over @ 200Hz. they sound pretty good. *still debating if i'm even gonna replace them.

But you are running a sub? I have no plans to put a sub in this car because i need all the space i can get. So sometime in the future i will be buying new speakers.

But i am quite happy with the sound/volume levels i can achieve now. It is certainly loud enough to cause hearing damage and give me a headache if i listen to long

Yeah, i have a 12" sub mounted in a custom enclosure where my spare donut goes.

The sub, enclosure and related beauty panels raised the floor by about 3" to accommodate the mounting depth. Kind of a win win outside of NOT having the donut, but i can remove all the stuff at will if i wanted to and put the donut and OEM fiber board panel back in.

He should have been able to wire the power/ground/illum connections from the 07+ Niaasn harness into the HU, then the connection from the HU to the PowerPak, then the speaker outs from the external amp in to the speaker connections/inputs on the Nissan harness.
