I’m sorry to hear that, it sucks that they won’t work with you for the replacements. You gave them two chances and they effed it up.

I believe the lights on amazon aren't the ones that have the turn signal integrated with the "DRL" light as these do. They have separate bulbs for the turn signals.

You guys can also find them for 300 on pro tuning lab. They have pretty good customer service so far from what I can tell because I called them prior to ordering to make sure they are indeed the switchback ones. I have morimoto 2stroke leds in mine and they are as good in output with and distance wise as my oem hids on sti but a bit brighter I think. Let me know if you guys want pics. I have to adjust the beams a bit still and going to disable drl maybe or wire the c lights as leds. I hate how also the c lights are at max with low beams on. Going to try to change them to 50%. Anyone have details on how the stock connector is wired ? Maybe we need to swap some cables around in the connector only.

From what I spoke with the guys on the phone from ProTuningLab there is only 1 company that makes these. So the oemassive and Protuninglab are the same. The guy was very knowledgeable about the product and from why I remember he said they are from spyder.

The fit is oem like. The brackets that go on bottom of the headlights are built in so you don’t need to swap them over like non switchback c lights(at least from what I read online). The low beams are h7 while high beams I believe were still 9005 (the bulbs are same looking as stock but I just never read the numbers)

I need to focus the bulbs better and even the beams out since the right side is lower and then I will take some output photos. I used to do retrofits for people so these are pretty damn good output wise when it comes to width, distance, sharpness, and the blue in cutoff. I was debating taking these apart before putting them on but I tested these with halogen bulbs in and was pleasantly surprised on how good they were. For STI guys like me you loose the inside leveling switch. I have my oems though still so I will try to see if I can remove the motors and transfer them over. Also I want to see if there’s a way to disable drls without doing the disconnect the box trick behind the passenger headlight (although I think that’s the only way) and try to make the c lights run at 50% when low beams are on. I will update you guys here if I get any of that done. For now getting low beams adjusted to spec is my priority.

That's good to know, I've been hearing OEMassive doesn't have very good customer service. So I'm happy there's another vendor.

Please keep us updated, I'm very interested in your results. I have a set of Morimoto projectors that I'm considering retrofitting into them when I get a set of these headlights.

Out of curiosity, on the bottom of these lights is there a cutout for ballasts or anything? Could we cut out the bottom of the light and mount the OE HID ballast to the housing? I don't want to use an aftermarket HID kit on these.

Alternatively, I may buy these and open them up and do a quad projector set up and replace the low beam projectors with some TL-R's from TRS and put some miniH1's in the high beam.

Just don't use HID's for the high beams. I don't know if flashing HID's on and off can damage the bulbs or ballasts, but it also looks funny when they're dim and flickering, if you ever have to flash your high beams for any reason.

There is a cutout for the ballasts like original ones but they use that with a grommet for some of the cabling to come out. You can move that and use the ballasts there though.

I got another set sent over from Protuninglab because the cutoff on the passenger side is blurry. They gave me a full replacement set for that. With that being set I just got a set of projectors and all the supplies so I am going to go ahead and retrofit these. I am debating if I should do some RGBA sequential flowing C lights in these hahha.

With that being said. Does anyone here with this set want my morimoto 2 stroke h7 led bulbs ? They retail for like 120+ shipped I’ll sell them for 110shipped and paypalled. PM me ASAP otherwise I can return these to retrofitsource. I know supplies is still low for them so I figure I can get someone a set faster this way.

@mugen_ TL-R and MiniH1 projectors are bixenon so if he's running quads, it'll just be triggering the hi beam solenoids when he fickers the high beam.

I recently purchased these lights from the OEMassive website and they have been working no problem. I ended up sticking in aftermarket led lights for both the high beams and low beams. I wasn't a fan of the DRLs being on when I only wanted the c light part on because it was extremely bright and you couldn't see the new c light, so I disconnected the daytime running light connector on the passenger side of the car behind the front bumper. The only problems I've had with these lights are a bit of condensation here and there which disappears within an hour usually when washing the car if it's warm out or if there is a temp change between the warm housings and the cooler outside temps and also a slight blinker issue. When turning on a certain blinker or the hazards, it blinks orange but for a split second blinks white as well. It's an orange-White orange-white pattern that happens quickly and is hard to really tell it's happening. Some people may like this but sometimes it can get annoying due to the fact others I have seen are only orange. I've been talking to the company through Instagram and whoever manages the Instagram account seems rly nice. Def going to see if he can help me figure out this little problem and possibly send some sort of resistor if need be or replace the lights for me. Overall, lights came packaged very well and are good quality other than those little problems listed above.

The condensation when I talked with Protuninglab is a known issue. They recommend clear sealant before putting them on. That will solve that.

I got a new set from them due to this and used that oppertunity to retrofit them. I just finished that up and will get them on the car this week.

Some notes now that I opened them:

If you want to retrofit these then the plastic is soft and heats up quick. 210 for 10 min or less is plenty even overkill.

The white orange pattern that was mentioned above is built into the controller of the leds. There’s a white controller/board for them and it’s what alternates them. You would have to open them up to change this.

Also due to this controller there is no way to dim them with the low beams. Maybe with the subie speed harness you might be able to work it if you hack up the wiring.

The led boards for the c light look very similar to 2015 wrx ones so I venture to say the replacement boards will work.

The projectors are pretty damn crappy. The reflectors are not chrome but instead like a brushed silver lol. Lenses are clear but no sharp cutoff. They did give decent output with led bulbs and probably would do same with the hid bulbs but no sharp cutoff.

What I ended up using was profile bi led projectors with ijdmtoy sequential led strip. Also put in profile blue led demon eyes. I’ll post pics soon as they are on. I took some too while assembling. I also added some extra sealant and 2 moisture pouches in each headlight. Also tinted the orange reflector. Will post up pictures once they are on.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the OEM DRL resistor to cut the output of an LED bulb/lamp. You would need an LED specific driver to do so. Also, not all LED bulbs/lamps can be dimmed.

Otherwise, kudos on the lamps and I like your car and the hydro-dipped parts.
