Is there a way you can change the color of the clock too?

I can look at it for you. I've already taken mine out (replaced it with a Defi pod and the Blitz gauges), so it'll be easy to look at.

changing the clock color isn't really all that slick. I used the red marker trick. pull the clock out from the housing and give the glass above the display 2 or 3 coatings of red marker. or, if you can find a nice red transparent film I'd recommend that. then you should also bend over one of the plugs (i forget the directions exactly) so the clock stays in "bright mode" otherwise you won't be able to see it.

Yeah, the LED display itself appears to be clear, because there is green-tinted glass infront of it. The red marker trick would be best.

Default Update

I bought some blue bulb condoms from partsexpress.com
Fast shipping, great service!

The bulbs illuminating the gauges are in fact .2" so no worries about buying different sizes there.

I put two condoms over the gauge bulbs and one over the Radio/HVAC. The blue looks sweet! Granted, you can't tell if anything illuminates during the day but you don't need anything lit up then anyway. At night is the kicker, I was very impressed.. Matches my car!

the blue condoms i got from partsexpress.com for my keyring look aquamarine-ish. they are more of a blueish green than a blue, I was disappointed....even put 2 on, didnt change it

Once the condoms heat up a little bit, they tend to turn to a darker blue..

Did you use one or two layers of condoms?

Did you also change your radio and HVAC to blue? If so, is the color a TURE blue, or a aqua/green/blue color?

I did the radio, HVAC, and gauges all blue. It's easy to tell it's blue but there is a tinge of green - more blue than anything but it could be mistaken for aquamarine.

EDIT: It looks aquamarine just because it's such a light blue.

Just finished up this mod tonight. Bought the .2" and .12" red condoms. HVAC was f'ing cake. Radio was easy as hell too. WONDERFUL and to the point write-up; I commend you on that. Hardest part was getting the cupholder back in... what the f*** do I just shove that sucker in there? It's 4AM and too late to figure out so I'll get to it tomorrow, along with some good night shots.

did you remove the green film on the back of the guages? how hard was that if you did, and how many bulbs are there in the cluster?

Look closer, that's an STI cluster. I though the "opening sweep" would give it away.

I know it's been written up a thousand times, but I'm having difficulties finding a good step by step on how to change the keyring and driver's side power window button to red.

Planning on using bulb condoms. Planning on ordering the .12 and .2 sizes
Does anyone know what size I'd need for the keyring and window button?
Can anyone help?
