Also added 20% tint all around have had it about a month. Lets hope these NJ cops dont notice.
Is it sticked from outside? If so, does it affect the wipers? I've been thinking about doing the same thing...

Yea, makes it difficult to yield to those damn airplanes on the road.

I have a strip across their too but it's 20% tint so I can see through it

Vinyl would be fine outside but, tint should be applied on the inside of the car.

Having tint on the front windshield is completely different then having a black bar covering the top foot of your windshield.

I have been on these springs for around 17,000 miles and I am sad to report that it is getting extremely bouncy. There's also an unfortunate squeak coming from the rear, but I'm hoping that the sway bar isn't greased enough or something.

I've been looking into coilovers and I wanted to know what you guys thought about buying used? Or should I just shell out the extra cash and get them new?

I had the same issue when I was running STI springs, but it only took a week. Used coil overs aren't much cheaper than new ones. So I would say get new ones, and make sure you maintain them properly.

Mine squeaked too. I didn't notice too much bounce, but when I took them off I noticed oil leaking from my rear struts. I was on them for about 20k miles.

Replaced them with BC BR coilovers. Also a mistake.

If you like the height, I'd suggest getting better struts and shocks. I think Konis are the best bet for our cars.

What was wrong with BC BR coils? Those are the ones I was looking into.

I'm still on the fence about the height. Konis were also an option for me, but my only problem now is money.

I got K-Sport Coilovers about a year ago and haven't had any issues with them. They're still easily adjustable after running thru everything.

Thanks! I'm going to look into it. I was just wondering about buying them used because someone in my area was selling them for $650 OBO.

So do any of your 2.5I sedan guys know if a 2012 WRX sedan quad tip will install on a 2008 Impreza 2.5I sedan. I heard something about needing extended hangers.... can they be purchased as a dealer part?

Does anyone have pictures of a quad tip WRX exhaust on a base model 2.5I sedan? Thanks guys, looking to do this ASAP!

They work fine if you don't care about ride quality. The 8k springs are pretty stiff for our cars to begin with. But they really suck when it comes to dempening. The dampners don't work for ****.

They are a good budget/entry level coilover. But not something that you will want to keep for a long time and drive daily. And I feel that this holds true for any set of coilovers in the $1000 price range or less.

I'd consider the K-Sports to be the same, if not worse than BC. (no offense)

The hatch will need the extended hangers since the bumper only has one cut out. Any single exit exhaust will fit fine. The sedan might be able to fit quad tips. If not, it will most certainly fit dual tips.

Some of the shenanigans I was up to today...

I'm starting to get a distaste for working on suspension.

I want to put the 2012 WRX sedan quad tip catback on my 2008 2.5I SEDAN, not hatch. So I just want to verify if I lower the exhaust hangers using 12mm extended hangers it will clear the stock bumper cut-outs.

Yea the vinyl is stuck to the outside of the glass making it very easy to apply. You could say it limits visibility but the only time I look at the top of the windshield is when approaching a stop light or checking the rear view. Also it does not affect the windshield wipers.

Look into stance, i have them and i like their ride quality. I believe their also 8k springs and all my friends that ride in my car say you feel the road, but you don't bounce around all the time, and i don't have much body roll at the same time. I got them for $1100

ISC's are $875 and are awesome. Custom spring rates, services in good ol' mass, larger body then then BC BR coils.

'12 WRX springs for now. Going to drive in G Stock for the upcoming Championship Series. Then on to... something else.

That's the other thing that's bugging me. I'm planning to take everything apart again.

I gotcha, even those springs probably feel better than oem, maybe even your previous coils too lol. It's also a lot easier once you have taken them apart before.

Alright guys, here's some pics of the carpet swap and amp install. I thought the carpet was a pain in the ass to install but it was nothing compared to running the power cable through the firewall and the 16ga speaker wire through the doors.

- Carpet is from an 08 STI hatch with 16,000 miles on it. Basically brand new.
- Amp is a Rockford Fosgate P325.2, 2 channel pushing 80 watts to each Focal 130CVX 5 1/4" coaxial.

These speakers bang loud. Crisp and clear.

Does anyone have any idea how to get the car side of the door grommet back into place? There is a white ring that snaps in to the frame and the grommet is wrapped around that to create a seal. I can't get it back in for the life of me and i'd like to figure it out before water gets in.

Couple of these are bad cell phone shots. It was COLD (10-15 degrees) and dark in my garage.
