Default SMY Cluster 02-07 WRX and STi dual gauge cluster beta testing.

I finally received the highly anticipated SMY Cluster for MY02-07 WRX and STi yesterday. All I gotta say is WOW. I was given one SMY Cluster from the test batch before mass production. The finished product looks factory. It has the same texture and all mounting tabs on the back for perfect fitment. I took some pics of the other dual gauge cluster and the SMY Cluster.

The SMY Cluster is on top. The other gauge cluster doesn't have the mounting clips on the bottom so the cluster will flop around when you hit a bump.

You will need to reuse these from your factory bezel on the new SMY bezel.

Easily installed on the new bezel.

Finished product in my car. I will take more pics tomorrow with the gauges lit up. It doesn't really block much. I can see the E line on the fuel gauge and 140 on the speedo.

The only 2 things I don't like about the bezel is the finish right behind the 2 gauge pods. Its a shiny finish and doesn't match the rest of the bezel. Its nothing you can really see but its kind of annoying. The other thing is a small gap on the bottom inner part of the bezel. I spoke to SMY about it and he's having it fixed before mass production.

All in all it's an amazing product. I'm happy with it and anyone that's particular with the way things look in their cars will be very happy. Its a must buy. If you have the other dual gauge bezel and not happy with the way it fits, you'll want to buy this. Its worth every penny.

SMY here.

The small gap issue is being worked on before mass production starts.

The sheen or the gloss will be resolved done during the production line. They do have an OEM part to work with.

These minor fixes may delay production about 1 week.

We are trying our best to produce a near perfect product.

Thank you

Looks great! Glad I pre-ordered! I am fine on the delay as long as the tweaks get done.

Wow must say it looks amazing. I'm glad I pulled the trigger on it. Is the gloss even noticeable when it's installed? And where is the gap that is being fixed? To me it looks perfect.

Gaps are on the bottom by the steering column see picture.

They will be fixed before full production starts.

Gloss will be tweaked to match a brand new oem part

Will a 52mm mechanical autometer boost gauge fit in the cluster?

Also, When will the groupbuy end?

It should fit. Like any meter if it is a little loose you can use a few turns of electrical tape to tighten things up. If a little too tight you can remove some bezel material. You might also have to look at those "clunky" threaded studs that Autometer uses. Not sure if those might contact the back part of the meter pods or not. If they are too long just cut them shorter to fit. *or use another brand meter*
When the 150 GB spots are filled. I think it was 150? Shipping around mid-end July.

Excellent reply good sir.

And lets just say the 150 spots are almost filled up. Only 20 left so if you want to get a great deal these act now. If not you will have to pay MSRP = $140 plus shipping.

This kind of deal will not happen again.

Thank you
