![]() Bob Lutz “Ford is winning due to physical appearance.”
GM / Chevy: “Double down on the ugly!” Good god, they somehow managed to make the interior even more dated than it already was. Bravo GM, bravo. |

![]() Even the new C8 is ugly, at least from what you can tell by the camo cars and the renders based off of those. Maybe GM will pull a Hail Mary and it will look great when the camo comes off, but their track record doesn’t inspire confidence.

![]() Can I get it in Tonka yellow?
Anything less just seems wrong. Edit: GM designer wakes up from mid-class nap: Huh? Yeah. Got it. Flat surfaces, aerodynamic. |

![]() GM execs:
All of our trucks need to look mean and masculine. Like a brick, bricks are pretty mean and masculine. You ever tried to fight a brick? Design team: Okay, we can handle that. What about the interior? Execs: It's like a lady's personality, we really don't give a ****, just make sure it can handle semen and Monster spills and we're goood. |

![]() I have been looking at this trying to figure out why this was familiar. I finally figured out the stacked grills and headlights are from the 1966 C10

![]() Why must all the trucks be over the top? Say what you want about the Colorado, its still much more subdued and low key (except the zr2 with that grill and adornments). It looks more like the 06-07 Silverado, before trucks were trying to look like mini peterbilts. Now trying to look like Outkast's mini peterbilt.
F150 and ranger reeled it in a bit and look calmer, but the super dutys are hideous as well. Sad but Dodge/Ram is winning in the looks department currently. |

![]() at least the headlights aren't at the top of that wall. They'll still probably blind me, but maybe less frequently.

![]() So as ugly as this thing is, there is some much-needed functionality there - cooling.
Lots of seasoned, rancher Duramax guys will tell you the trucks can overheat. This is where function trumps form. This move, from an engineering perspective is all about cooling. |

![]() I thought I wanted a Silverado, I thought they'd look better in person but they don't. They're horrible. There must be someone from the Pontiac Aztek era still around at GM with influence. Lots of Azteky looking GMs. I went with the GMC which I think is the cleanest looking of the full size trucks.
