Default What is a v9 JDM STi suspension compared to v7 v8?

How does a "JDM v9 STi suspension" compare to a v7 and v8?

version 9 is the same fitment as 05-07 US STi parts and won't fit anything other than the v9+ STi because the front steering knuckles are bigger.

For US cars (JDM are a year ahead) v7 is 02-03 (bugeye), v8 is the 04, v9 is 05.

Good summation there jamal. That's basically it, though there were some valving differences across the years.

Here's a shock dyno graph that compares various dampers (Evo8, 05 STi, 02 STi-front):

EVO has done a very good job w/ the low speed rebound

Looks the STi has toned down both rebound and compression a fair amount- interresting.

Do you have any graphs with the EVO MR's Bilstein shocks?
