Lmao you should hang them up as art and send me your hub caps. I think I will run these for now and than sell them next year. Still debating what color I will paint them. I was thinking pearl white.

Ok, so I've seen a number of guys get these salvage cars and make em look NICE. What I wonder, is how safe are they actually?

Well my dad owns a body shop and fixes 3 or 4 salvages cars a year to sell and so far there have been no problems.

Thanks man I was working with aperture priority but I keep failing on having the camera focus on the car instead of the background.

good. keep working with it. be sure to learn about histograms/light metering. it will help you a lot down the road if you can grasp those concepts.

once you're comfortable with A mode, start going into manual mode and play with everything..

That is the plan sir. I think I need a new lens to blur out the background more I tried but I failed.

yea its really hard to get a good amount of blur with kit lenses. specially if the lowest the f stop will go is f4-5, you will need A LOT of distance from your car to the background. A LOT A LOT of distance in fact.

but lenses are definitely a good investment. for the best "bokeh" results, you wanna be around f1.4-f2.8

it does kinda depend on the focal length too though. if you have like a 70-300mm kit lens, usually zooming in all the way (even at f5 aperture setting) you will get a decent amount of blur. play with it!
