Got some more seat time this weekend, Auto X event in Livonia. Went very smooth. There were actually 2, one was Saturday, that one had around 160 cars. I went to the one on Sunday, which only had about 60. Nice plot of tarmac and fun course. Would recommend to anyone.

Sounds fun. Where at in Livonia? Have any photos?

How many runs do you get?

There was a photographer, I will see on FB if they posted any up. But I did also go to Bayside in Walled Lake, which was pretty sweet. I got a lot of pics of that event. Or find out if he got any of me, I got a few pics from MIS event i did about a month ago will post those up.

Got in 5 runs, all of them back to back, which was pretty nice. They had it set up that if you wanted to run one after another you didn't have to wait. There is still more to get out of the car, I know there is more time on the table, just have to keep on pushing.

My fiancee just bought a 2016 Hyperblue STI. Just wanted to say hi. She isn't much of a car person but I am, so I'll probably be the nerd on the forums.

We live out in Chelsea. Looking forward to attending some events in the area!

Very cool, I'd like to try an Autocross one day. I'd definitely like to see some photos if you ever get around to posting some.

Welcome! You have some very fun MTB trails near you in Chelsea now, the DTE and Big Kame at Waterloo rec. area.
Also have a friend who lives over there with a wrb hawkeye, but he's not on forums.

For not being a "car person", the hyper blue STi seems like a pretty extreme choice!

Gentlemen, I have been thinking long and hard about this, might be getting some power adders before the end of the summer......Cobb AP, Intake, EBC, and Intercooler......I just miss the noises that my MS3 made......also there is another auto X 28th of next month in Livonia for those interested.

I guess I don't even know what you drive, but yeah, I stayed with my factory air intake for right now with a drop in filter, and did an elh, dp, ecbs, and a tune (I have another new Company23 anti-surge EBCS for sale if anyone is interested). Happy with what I chose, and probably all I'll ever do unless (until) I change short blocks and a stronger clutch!

Maybe I'll try to make that event later next month and try out an autocross!

Might possibly go to Grattan on the 8th.

Yeah those should be prerequisite, along with Killer B pick-up and windage tray, before power adders...
I chose to go with an IAG and also a KoyoRad.

But I'm still wondering about an oil cooler, not sure I'll do one yet. Maybe I should monitor oil temps, but I don't want to go all gauge crazy.

Forget kb pickup. Moroso is a better design. Also I got mine used in great condition for $60. Oil cooler is probably not needed for autox, but a good idea for track. You can get a screen for temp read out so you only have one gauge. Like what Joey did

I have not had any issues with the oem oil pan and oil pickup even on tracks like Gingerman with long sweepers.

I am always a fan of more cooling as these engines run rather hot when you start pushing them.
