Synaptic3 Review Thread
For those who did not know, Synaptic3, a brand new shop in Candia, NH, was a sponsor at this year's WBM. They raffled off a full customize roll bar and I was the lucky winner. Today, I received the final product. To say the least, I am very pleased with their work and service.
I want to thank Dana and the Synaptic3 team for putting in all the time and effort into this project. The invoice they gave me totalled to 38 man hours and it certainly shows. For Nasioc reasons, I cannot post their website but I am sure you can find their contact info on Google. Here are some pics, I just got this back today. I will be painting the cage myself eventually. I certainly hope Synaptic3 will become a full-time vendor with NESIC. They will be a great asset. See you guys at the track.

NICE, that was a popular pick in the raffle boxes. If I remember correctly they were advertising this as a $1,500 custom roll bar. Looks nice.
I just ordered a roll cage myself and inquired from another company about powder coating it. It costs about $400-$450 because of the size of it (need a big oven). I'm sure a regular blast & spray-on coating would be cheaper however. Looks pretty BEEFY! |

Yea, have never done one either, although I am looking forward to one. Did the rollbar or car come first?

Got my gauges installed at Synaptic3
So I got the Maddad gauges (boost and EGT) at the Wicked Big Swap meet at KTR a couple of weeks ago.
I decided to try out the place that raffled off the complete roll cage for the Wicked Big Meet, Synaptic3 in Candia, NH to install them. The staff there (I met Dana and Ron- it was a Saturday) were very professional and take what they do very seriously. It's a real deal there, with a couple of rally cars and at least 3 RX-7's being worked on there. Fairly neat and they even have their own lift and an alignment machine that does corner balancing as well. They also have machine lathes and anything for custom stuff, they showed me an intake manifold made from scratch for an MR2, looked pretty good. Now the service- these guys do not take any shortcuts when installing items (they solder wires instead of using butt splices or the like). This leads to a little more time than your average install, but makes for a little peace of mind at the end of the day. Dana would come up to me with any questions about how I wanted things mounted, etc. The install took slightly longer than expected but they were willing to be professional and ensure that I was happy. That's what I appreciated the most. It's also perhaps the only place here that has 2 SVX's almost right next to each other (besides the WBM). Although the drive is long, I'll probably be going to them again for future services. Not only that but Dana e-mailed me today to check in how things were going. So CN...Synaptic3 service= very good, great customer service. I would recommend. Plus they have 2 SVX's and a WRX wagon as personal cars... Last edited by scooby888; 11-09-2006 at 11:10 PM. S3 are very thorough and professional. Aaron did the alignment on my WRX with the skill temperament of a Rolex repairman.
S3 also provided service for us at the Team O'Neil Rally and were a god-send in prepping for the event. They are very versed in motorsport builds and maintnance. Can't wait for their new DJ booth to be complete: oonce-oonce-oonce... |

If you're up in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and check out their facilities. Aaron, Dana, and Ron are some of the friendliest people you'll meet. Very reasonable prices and if you're looking to do custom caging, feel free to contact me and look at a sample of their work in my driveway.
I just wish there is more to do in Candia, NH when I have cars serviced up there. |

They actually look really nice. The only thing is that the EGT isn't telling me much right now except that my exhaust gases average about 1,000 degrees, maybe I should have gotten an oil temp instead. I'll try to get some pics going once I figure out how to actually host them.
