I run a Stage 3 CC @400/400 and its holding strong. Most clutches will hold well as long as ur not dumping it every day.

Yeah, 575wtq exceeds what the exedy twin disc can hold. IIRC they are rated at 535-550WTQ MAX.

What about the triple? I heard it's good for up to 765 wtq and can handle a bit of abuse

Triple does seem to hold up a lot better.

There's some 9s cars running the CC twin which is priced very fairly and I might be wrong but I think the few JR/CJ cars That go 8s run a CC too but they are probably custom or triples.

Years don't really matter as much of mileage....how many miles do you have?

Also at 400tq your really not asking for much clamping power..

I have heard of people getting about 30k out of them with about that much TQ with the car used as a DD and very few launches, but the stock clutch has done the same.

I'm definitely more of a drag race guy so maybe that's why I hear they don't hold up well and I know the guys were upset cause of the costs ....but you have good results using it so what do I know

Mine didnt last 10k miles at 575wtq.

400wtq might as well be 100. My stock clutch handled 400wtq with ease albeit it was the max it could handle.

The exedy should handle weak power levels like 400wtq without fail lol.

Exedy has 2 twin discs available for almost the same price. One is rated at 430 wtq and the other 535 wtq. This might be where all the confusion is coming from.

Bah, it has an approx wtq rating of 560ft/lbs. My tuner said it should hold fine which it did for about 6k miles.....$800 6puck took its place and holds like a champ.

Still sounds to me again wrong specifications . If you would have ready the spec it's dated for 560. You said your car made 575tq.. sounds like you ordered the incorrect product to me and would refer to my first post on knowledge on product before ordering it.. your tuning saying 1 thing and the manufacture telling you what the real spec are.. but good call on the 6 puck.. if you guys want a exedy twin disc I have one the HD rated for 560 tq selling it for 850. Let me know .

Theres no doubt I was pushing it but 575 was my kill map which I only ran on occasion. It spent 90% of its life at 500 wtq in dd mode which was well within its specs.

Its a good clutch for weaksauce power levels as you pointed out.

My lord is E85 addictive

Should I try my best to fight off the addiction and run a tank of high detergent 93octane (Shell) every 1000 miles to clean out all the potential E85 gunk?

People use ethanol to clean their tanks. If anything the 93oct will cause potential gum after while.
