HR new weekly meet ideas, summer oriented

Ok, so I really think the pantry is played out. With the nice weather I have no interest in going inside to hang out.

I was thinking along the lines of a weekly grille out. Every wed (you guys seem to prefer that night) starting at 5 at my place or alternate with whoever wants to host (so even the peninsula guys could get in on this). Have outdoor activities, like drinking beer, volleyball, frisbees, swimming pools, and fixing cars up. If this sounds lame, or not like a good weekday activity, post what you think would make a good weekly weeknight meet.

I'm down for whatever as long as I can get out of work.

The beach up here has a picnic area, add some tag football/volley ball, and give the single guys some play with the girlies that are starting to come out.

This is for getting together often to do stupid ****, not necessarily car related. The last weekly meet is also how we met a few new people. Its a good way to get to know people and have a lot of fun.

If you can't make it that is fine, we will still continue to have things on the weekend.

Ok well we though up a new place to go with a kickass outside patio and great happy hour. Might just be the new thursday meet place. This is in norfolk.

I need more opinions though.

Dave was thinking a weekly friday BBQ.

That's a great idea, I say we change them up every now and again. Make things more exciting. During the 'weekly' meet decide what should go on for the following week.

Well I have a big backyard and with a pool and deck around the pool.... I have to get the pool open and make sure the back yard is dog**** free (from the winter). I'm whiling to host weekly get together. I'm sure Between Dave's (really Rons), Bob's, and My house we can do a weekly thing......

i know a good outdoor bar in norfolk off of oceanview. live bands and some cute waitresses. sounds like a good idea though.

This summer Im free more often (daughter spends some summer time with her mom) Im not down with the idea of dissing the GP though, we need to go there at LEAST once in awhile just to keep our steins alive. Or explain to Wallace we will be back in the winter. I really like that place..sniff sniff

Ocean view is far for me, but VB is far for others. I guess we can find a few cool places and switch them up. Anyone else eat sushi? There are some great local all you can eat type sushi deals. Id be down for that too!

Maybe not JDM good. The "budget" place is Asia Garden on laskin road in VB. On fri and sat, they have decent sushi and crab legs all you can eat, 14.99. There is also a place on holland road, I think its 20-25 bucks, better sushi, all you can eat, used to be on wed. There is another place on VB blvd, I think its buffet m-fri or something, 15 bucks or so. Decent sushi plus tempura, all you can eat. I havent been in awhile, noone at work will really go anymore, and I dont have much time now during the week at night. There are a but ton of places in VB at least.

Sushi, Magic Hat..willwood brakes...I like ya already

I am down for some grilling.....although leaving installs for the weekend may be a good idea incase we hit a problem and then everyone needs to go home to sleep so they can work the next morning....the I can drive my car home joke may become a reality.
