Just Some Tips. Try Them And See If They Work For You. I Noticed A Small Diffrence.

1. ALWAYS PUMP GAS IN THE MORNING, GAS EXPANDS WHEN ITS WARM, SO WHEN YOU PUMP DURNING THE DAY YOUR NOT REALLY GETTING A GALLON

2. DON'T PRESS THE TRIGGER ALL THE WAY, WHEN GAS STARTS FOLLOWING SOME GETS EVAPORATED WITH THE SPEED AND FRICTION IT CREATES. JUST PUMP IT SLOW.

3 DON'T PUMP WHILE THE FUEL TANKER IS RE-FUELING THE TANKS, IT LIFTS ALL THE IMPURITIES THAT THE GAS HAS AND SETTLE AT THE BOTTOM ON THE TANKS AND IN TURN , PUMPS INTO YOUR CAR.

1) You're right. The standard coefficient of gasoline’s expansion/contraction equals 0.069 % per degree Fahrenheit. So you'll pay 2.76% more if you purchase gas at 90 degrees instead of 50 degrees. Keep in mind, that's not ambient temperature put the actual temperature of the gasoline. The gasoline temperature will not fluctuate nearly as much as the ambient temperature. Check a pools temperature throughout a day and night and you'll find that it never gets as cold as it is at night or warm as it is during the day. In reality on a day that the temperature goes from 50 to 90 the gasoline will only fluctuate between 60 and 80 at most.

2) The amount lost to evaporation is miniscule. That's almost like drinking your mixed drink really quickly after pouring it so the alcohol doesn't evaporate away. Take a gallon of gas and put it in an open container and shake it around for a few hours and try and measure how much has evaporated. Without scientific measuring tools I doubt you'd be able to find a difference.

3) Never thought about that.

You complain about the gas prices, I'll complain about housing prices. Gas prices I can deal with, housing prices? That's a whole different story.
