Default Meguiar's 3-step process = pictures!

Well me and a friend decided to 3-step prcoess our cars since the cars really needed some TLC. I took off the roof rack and decided to go ahead and just do it...But by the time we finished it got really dark but the cars were glossy! So we decided to take pics the next day since we both weren't doing anything anyway and this is the outcome!

p.s.
I am not professional photographer and never claim to be....The pics may not be enough for a lot of people's standards on here but it was just a regular point and shoot 7.2megapixel camera and i just got it....Tips, yays or nays on the cars or the pics will be greatly appreciated!

I know the feeling; it seems like every time I take mine out for a wash, I get poured on with some form of precipitation or another . Hasn't stopped me from trying yet though!

Great shots! Both cars look excellent. Rims look good MPREZD!

BTW.. depending on the type of camera you own, you can adjust to different weather condition. Also, next time try setting the camera to take higher resolution pictures.. that way if you mess up, you can still correct it in photoshop Keep up the good work!

Just an example of high res and photoshop.. PM me.. i'm setting up a photoshoot / meet early febuary.. you should deffinently come out and hang out

Im sure the cars are glossier than anyone could be led to believe with those pictures. Better camera skills needs to be broughteded with to take pictars of those cars so you can show us how clean they really are. Or a tripod.

I do lol. I can't find my Digital SLR, so i've been using my Sony DSC-W7. The button to turn up res is the button bottom right of the screen with the little trashcan over it. If you're in a manual shooting mode, a menu should come up and ask how many "M" you want your shots to be recorded at. Also, if you're using the Sony's, I think the first thing you should look at is your EV or "exposure value". It looks like you have the exposure value set a little low. Try running a few shots through +.7 through -.3. Depending on the lighting you have, it normally gives me a pretty decent shot. Next, check your ISO. The lower the ISO, the less sensitive the shot is to light, and the more light you will need.. IE if you're doing a night shot, you'd want to run at least an ISO of 400 depending on how much light you have. For daytime shots, i'd run an ISO of 100, and all the way up to 400, since that's as high as my Sony goes. Lastly.. TRIPOD! I tripod is an easy way to get steady, unblurred shots. You'd be amazed at how much difference a tripod could make in your photos. Oh yea, and another little trick I use is leaving the White Balance at "Cloudy".. the camera brings out a little warmth with the picture everytime Anyways, hope that was helpful.. And hope to see you at the photoshoot / meet!

HAHA I know all about scraping dude, socal sucks in making ramps. I was in Florida and like ALL ramps into supermarkets or w/e are nice and subtle. Nothing like the cliffs you find here!

it isn't a clean car unless you clean the wheel wells... Also the three step is alright, but I'd recommend if your using over the counter products to get a nice clay bar kit, clay the car, and use Meguires Color X, it has cleaning properties and polishing properties and will save you alot of steps and get the looks you want, if you want a little bit more pop from the metallics in the paint, top it with some meguires NXT spray wax, its fast, adds protection, and really makes flake stand out.
