That could be your 7D if you want it to be!
For indoors with flash I would just set the camera to Manual exposure. Then put the aperture at whatever you'd like and the shutter speed at the max sync speed (probably 1/250th for you). Then adjust ISO so that without flash the exposure would be at least 2 stops under exposed. Once you turn on the flash you should be able to leave it on auto (ETTL) and it will do most of the work for you. If you bounce if off of a white ceiling then it should provide very nice results. You can also bounce of light colored walls and other large objects. I'd start with this and then experiment from there. As for action, the flash will definitely stop the motion, even in low light, but I wouldn't expect it to be ideal for action like you would be able to do outdoors on a nice day. The action will be frozen, but you still have to deal with poor AF and slower recycle times for the flash. To start with I'd practice on static subjects. And as for the Light Sphere it is worth trying. I own one of them and the Sto Fen Omni Bounce (probably similar to the cheap thing you bought). I don't like either, but that's just my preference. They're cheap so it's worth playing around with.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I bought the Omni bounce like you said. It was only 10 bucks so I thought I would give it a shot. I can't buy the 7D now because I have a flash!

That looks interesting! I was also wondering if the flash will help with the overall white balance of the subject. If I take a picture of my kids sometimes I get some color reflection off of an object it effects the skin tone. Will the flash help this issue?

^^^ All kinds of things I'm sure others will give you lots more specific advice, the easiest thing I think to fix is not positioning your car to where it looks like a tree is growing out of it. Thats just a really simple thing to do. Great looking car though!

I am open to all suggestions. I am a complete rookie in photography. Yeah a tree growing out of it probably isn't good Thanks for the compliment though!

What set up are you using? Any posy processing software? I admit I got lazy on posting all the info with my pictures. A lot of know what each other has, but for the new comers it's helpful to post all your info. Camera, lens, software, and exif info is all good info for tips!

I've really been digging night time shooting and thought I'd share some more. Again, no tripod handy
I've also added a bunch on people on this thread so we could bounce ideas, tips, etc. if any one is interested. @snakesandarrows Yea that car was actually driving towards us as the bus was turning the corner. I think it adds some realism to the photo along with the stop sign Shutter Speed: .50 ISO 3200 f/13 18-55mm |

This is why I suggest setting the camera exposure so that the image would be completely black with the flash turned off. Then you're not mixing ambient light and flash light. If you are mixing light then you need to modify the flash (gels), but I would definitely avoid this to start off. If you end up with mixed color temps in one image it is very difficult and sometimes nearly impossible to fix in post.

Learning Lightroom, I'll probably end up taking a class from the local community college so I can really utilize it more.

It is a cool shot. Is this multiple exposures layered or just one?
