stock injectors limits? 07sti
I'm thinking of getting some mods for my 07 sti, but I really worry about how limited is my stock injectors?
My car is stock right now, and I just got an hks headers&up pipe for free from a friend I'm soon going to buy cobb sf intake, down pipe and exhaust also. Up till this point I think injectors will handle all these mods fine, but I want to upgrade my car turbo to tomei arms m8265 and tune it at stock boost levels (15psi no more) which I guess engouh to hit 300whp with a good tune? Now, I want to know. will my car stock injectors be fine with that turbo? will a larger fuel pump help?

1) Do not run that intake or the downpipe without tuning for them. This is absolutely critical, those parts MUST be tuned for or you risk blowing your engine
2) Why do you want a Tomei M8265? The stock turbo can do 300whp just fine 3) Your stock injectors will be hitting their limits with a downpipe and a tune. Beyond that (intake, headers, etc) I would recommend upgrading both the injectors and the fuel pump. 850-1000cc is generally a good spot to go, it leaves room for growth but doesn't compromise drivability. The DW300 or Walbro 255 are both common drop-in replacement pumps. Edit: I just noticed you're not from the US. My comments apply to the USDM version of the 07 STi, I'm not sure how yours differs so things may be a little different. |

thanks for reply
For sure I will tune the car with all these parts installed at once to save time and $$. Regarding the M8265, I just like how the boost stay high even at 7000rpm as the oem turbo will not hold boost at that much rpm and also if I want to hit 300whp on stock turbo I had to rise boost to 20~22psi right? So, from your comment its better to save some more $$ and get injectors too? what is the best reliable brand out there? because I want to daily drive my car |

300whp on the stock turbo will be somewhere around 17-18 psi. 300whp occurs near redline, the stock turbo can't hold 20-22 that high even if it wanted to. The people running that much boost are doing so in the midrange to get more torque, but this won't affect peak horsepower.
Injector Dynamics is a popular choice in the states, the ID 1000 are great injectors. I'm assuming your car still uses top feed injectors, correct? |

yep. its top feed
so stock turbo would be better than tomei 8265 for this much power goal, beacuse I want it to spool fast yet hold boost at high rpm |

If you want fast spool and good power loo into the 16gxt and 16gxtr
You can make about 350 to the wheels with those turbos |

Stock injectors are good for around 280 hp to the wheels if you want more change them. I have the 06 STI with HKS equal length headers, used to have the HKS up pipe, & still HKS down pipe. Put an up pipe that you can put a external waste gate on, so that when your enternal waste gate messes up you can go external an dont have to change your up pipe.
