Yeah, there were zero F.U.C.K.s given .

if the wrx is also getting the FA24DIT, there is hope they might bring back the forester XT. aggressive front bumper, dual exhaust, no scoop on hood. if the FB20 is dropped since even the brz is getting the FA24, will we only have 3 engines in the lineup. it would simplify the assembly line and may allow for better interchangeability for the USDM. the lineup would be the FB25, FA24, and the FA24DIT. we got the FB25 in the crosstrek to answer the complaints of no power. if the forester follows suit, would the forester sport and the touring get the FA24DIT. hmm

The current gen Forester already has the second bumper cutout if they want to go with dual exhaust, so fingers crossed. I'd be curious to see the take rates on previous Forester XTs vs. regular models. I get semi-excited whenever I see a Forester XT on the road, only to pull up next to them and 8/10 times it's an old grandma driving

the brand new generation impreza and crosstrek is not far off. but what can you do for the engines. they seem to trying to avoid putting a turbo in every car in the lineup. the FB25 as the base engine in both the new impreza and crosstrek is not bad. but what about the sport and higher trims. do you put the FA24 non turbo or put the 1.8dit

right now the FB25 is the only option so it wouldn't matter as much. but as the competition keeps putting turbos on their higher trims, how long will subaru deny the urge to follow their route. and unlike the older FA20DIT, the new FA24DIT runs on regular fuel and has much more power and torque than the older engine if put the ascent tune instead of the wrx tune.

That was only done for one generation of the car......

The previous gen(the 1st) didn't have much change at all in 9 MYs
