Default Emission Testing MARYLAND?

Hello, I live in Maryland and we do Emission testing every 2 years with OBD. If I have a catless DP, TVG Deletes, and EGR, with a tune, would I be able to pass emissions as long as no lights are on?

Yes, the MD emissions attendant will plug into your OBDII and if tuned correctly, your ECU will tell the emissions computer that ALL is OK.

No codes you pass. They just want the money. Man it's nice not to have to deal with that money grab anymore.

i love the self test. i was in and out in less than 10 minutes. the hardest part of the test for me was physically getting out of the car and then having to plug in the plug to the obd2 port, i was really sick and it hurt to even breath, lol.

So can I get a catless up pipe and catless down pipe and pass emissions with a Cobb stage 2 tune? or do I need to pro tune to pass with these mods?

Yes, the codes are disabled through the Cobb AP tune. Hang onto your 02 WRX until 2022 and you can get historic plates in MD. No emissions, no inspection, cheaper registration fees.

I used to work there for years, the OBDII will pass you as long as you have an Accessport or correct tune. If you're using an older tune setup which just fools the ECU into killing the MIL, you won't pass...but...that hasn't been an issue for years now. You'll be fine.

And to the self service kiosk...keeps those nasty azz "inspectors" from getting into your car.

Yeah, if I recall, MD Historic tags had steep limitations on mileage.

I don't miss that state one bit.
