Default 2016 STI + Cobb Catted DP. VA safety and emissions?

I have the stage 2 power package with the Cobb catted downpipe on my 2016 STI. I saw some older threads where it looks like VA is just a visual and OBD test. BUT, I've also seen that VA is maybe getting stricter.

Anyone recently pass both emissions and inspection running a single cat downpipe? Mine's not up for a few months, so I'm just wondering at this point. I'm willing to be the guinea pig down the road and update this thread with results if it comes to that.

Bump

Anyone want to PM me with their favorite NOVA inspector/emissions place?

It really depends on the inspector. I've been failed for having 1 cat (TurboXS downpipe) vs the OEM 3 (1 up pipe, 2 post turbo). I've also passed for having 1 cat (Invidia downpipe).

Yeah, that's what I'm starting to gather. I guess I'm just asking if anybody has anyone they go to regularly with mods and success at this point.

Got 1 PM reply and will probably be trying them out next friday unless anyone PMs one that's closer.

I've never had an issue ever and I've always had aftermarket exhaust setups (with a cat) on every single car I've owned.

Found a place near Quantico for those in that region that went smoothly.

I've been going to a Shell station in Springfield for the past few inspections. I have an Nvidia catted downpipe. They do look for the cat, but are ok with aftermarket parts.

The Sunoco on 29 near Harrison St. in Arlington is great. Catted TurboXS with ridiculous JDM STi can. Stay away from Stohlman in Tysons.

Default Just moved to the area

In Springfield. Been running a no cat WRX since new in 2004. Dreading removing the DP to reinstall the oe cat setup (yes I saved it since new)

Was hoping find a spot to get me passed without huge hassle. I've got to do 3 cars and it's a PITA to go back and forth with all of them. And it's getting cold out!

Any other tips of where to go? PM's are fine too.

Thanks in Advance

Just find a rapidpass testing station and drive through it.

Can't. I'm new here. Already asked and they want all new folks to go through the visual for the first time at least.
