Post how do i reset my ecu

im goin to wash my car and i figured that i should reset it while i was and wax. can someone please tell me how to do it correctly. i know there are lots of topics on this , but im not to sure and my luck ill follow instructions froms someone who doesnt know hwat they are doin, please help

disconnect the battery for 30 minutes
then reconnect, start the engine, and let it run for 10 or 15 minutes. don't touch the accelerator while it idles.

Then shut off the car and restart....dont forget that.
