About 2,600 lbs. So kind of an AWD BRZ.

I didn't realize they're still basically developing the car and making final touches, like with programming DCCD presets. And the P25s are mostly customizable, which makes sense for the price. If someone doesn't want some of the features then they can have them swapped.

Anyone else notice the lack of fender liners up front? I don't think its close to being finished.

At ~$550k you've gotta be one hell of a fan of the 22b? Prodrive? WRC? this particular iteration of the Impreza? one hell of a fan of one or all of those and possibly more.

Admittedly, I do not have that kind of walking around cash, so I may not completely grasp the appeal.

Its hard to comprehend, but the people buying these kinds of cars don't buy them like we do. They don't buy just one, they buy ALL of them, thats why we are seeing so many of these super low production expensive cars.

Companies have figured out its easier to sell 25 cars for $500,000 than to sell 250 cars for $50,000. They make way more money for less effort.

Also what's the ratio of road safety testing vs quantity manufactured? There has to be some loophole that makes a restomod worth it. I assume a regular vehicle from a manufacturer isn't crashed just once to meet regulations.

A quick Google searched yielded the answer of: Depends. I think for EU the number of 25 is small enough and the chassis has already been developed by Subaru.

Yeah looks surprisingly unchanged minus custom hubs. You can accomplish a lot, but I expected more. At least new subframes to relocate pickup points and shave some weight.

Not suspension related but no dry sump? Kinda odd given the price. Wonder if it has brake ducting?

It's been said already, but 18s would have looked better and you can get some real side wall and brakes large enough. Not a fan of 19s on a GC.

That's a great video. That first run up, driver switch, then run back down, reminded me of my drives in the mountains in Alaska with my buddy. He preferred racing uphill, but I always enjoyed the downhill run. Obviously the speed and agility was nothing compared to these guys, but made me think of that regardless. I can appreciate the challenge.

Too expensive, with a quarter of that money you could make a gc8 just as competent without being P25

Yeah Prodrive timed this perfectly, much better job on the timing and marketing than the actual car.
