Default Help me be the coolest guy at teh Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s party

Ok I have some old school ocean pacific shorts and a mc hammer t shirt. I need some accesories. I think I'm going with these glasses.

What I'm looking for is a good hat. I thought about one of the painter type hats where you flip the bill up. Then I remembered back when i was 10 my uncle had this awesome T&C surf hat that had the long neck guard thing in the back. I can't for the life of me find a good old school brand hat with the neck guard thing. Were these called something different back in the day? Kinda like this but I need one from the 80's

I have no idea what the hats are called, but this is the first thing that I thought of.

I loved that game! Surfing was pretty tough IIRC.

Me as well.

*though I did have one of those painter's caps (with the flaps as mentioned in the post above) emblazoned with Iron Maiden artwork.

July 17th. I have nothing to do at work, so as soon as I get back from lunch, my mission is to find one of those damn hats. I had one back then (even though I was barely 5 years old once 1990 hit) and I want to know what the hell it's called.

Vans and Jams were definitely 80s. Those hats w/ flaps were popular in the checkered pattern (a la Vans). Some folks wore the DuPont painters caps for about 1-2 years. Don't forget the comb in the back pocket.

Later 80s, rolled the jeans into tight cuffs. Also, look for Girbaud and Z. Cavaricci for the latter 80s. And Docksiders/Bass shoes too (without socks), or black penny loafer w/ white socks.

Yes, let's get our 80s stuff correct here.

Think Van Halen 1984 or something like that to help you out.

Those flap hats were rad! They were even better with Van Halen, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, and Iron Maiden buttons on them.
