Nick, you can request me as an instructor if you want. I promise not to laugh at you if you suck, but I might call you a ***** if you don't use your brakes hard enough Just ask for Ryan Catucci in the notes field on your registration page.

I'll be there!
I think I will be putting a "no-boost" sticker on the windshield of my car though. Last time people were pointing me by on the straights but didn't let off because they though I had a turbo so there was no way I could pass them with my measly N/A 2.5L of aluminum consuming power! Maybe next year I'll get around to doing an engine swap :P This engine can't last forever.....can it?! I'll be in ST3 or something, I forget. Just suspension stuff on a GC 2.5RS. I got a 1:28 lap time last time so I doubt I'll be competing with any of you guys |

One of the COM guys who used to drive a 350Z Track dropped a bunch of brake pads on my lap - some in boxes, some in plastic bags. I also have a bag full of wheel studs, one unnamed rotor, and a bunch of other random things.
The pads seemed to stop just fine at NHMS1 and WGI. Never look a gift horse in the mouth. Raj |

If I'm only running the student day, does the classifiecation really matter. I picked SSB since as of this very moment I am SSB (I think). The bits mentioned will be installed the week of the event. Is STGT overshooting or being optimistically honest? Ok on the 2 driver dealy, that's what I figured. I asked the question in the notes on the registration but nobody got back to me yet. Yeah I have no track experience, I've run autoX a couple of times, but not in the new car. I will listen blindly! Good news is since I have no real experience I shouldn't have too many bad habits to break. I will look for some track vids to get a better feel for the track. I was looking for a track map, but didn't run across one yet. Quote:

Nick,
Classification doesn't matter as much on the student day, except that certain classes have higher safety requirements. However, it doesn't matter in your case since you'll either wind up in SSGT (stock) or SPB (turbo, injectors, etc.) and they both have the same safety reqs. ST1 is if you only have exhaust, suspension, etc. If you touch boost, you go to SP, unless you're The Sandy Clam. Speaking of Sir Clam, he posted a video here, with the new south chicane configuration: Regarding your other questions: 1. You can email Will Martins - [email protected] - and request The Clam for your instructor. 2. As AARP mentioned, dual drivers will be placed in separate run groups, but you must let them know at the time you register. Raj Last edited by re92; 07-15-2009 at 04:28 PM. |

something something SPB requires rollbar something......
A stock STi is STGT. Stock LGT and 2.0L WRX are SSA N/A 2.5 is SSB N/A 2.2 is SSC lotsa laps with nesic'rs in both seats. You may hear to take a left in 3 as this instructor is known for saying that The configuration is the same but will look different and the transition from 10 through to 12 is probably totally different. In know they did a bunch of upgrades and stuff. The turns are the same. jack |
