Default Will 06 wrx rims work on an 04 STi

Found a guy that is willing to swap rims from his 04 STi with my 06 WRX. I know the Sti rims will fit my wrx but im not sure my stock rims will fit his. Same offset same rims size 17. The only question i have is will the 06 wrx rims clear the brembo's on the STi..?

Thanks

Yes they should, one of the large vendors (can't recall who) posted when the 06's came out that the spacer was needed. Not really sure how much spacers are, but if you do get the rims on, post pics!

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the bolt pattern different between 04's and 05+? or does this only apply to the STi's?

05+ STi's are 5x114.3, the same as the Supra, 350Z, 300Z, Mustang, 5 lug Honda/Acura's, and quite a few other cars. I know this for sure cuz I saw a STi with rims for a 350Z on it.

It's also called 5x4.5 if you forget the metric. Mazda RX-7's also use this (at least the last generation)

I did not know it was only 05 STi's that had the change.
