How is it? Did you have to register it? Isnt there a lot of silly rules like from the FAA that you have to deal with?

I love it.

I bought a little syma X5C to practice with around the apartment before I got it so I knew what I was doing.

Edit: Yeah I had to register.

The rules are pretty much:

-Fly below 400 feet and remain clear of surrounding obstacles

-Keep the aircraft within visual line of sight at all times

-Remain well clear of and do not interfere with manned aircraft operations

-Don't fly within 5 miles of an airport unless you contact the airport and control tower before flying

-Don't fly near people or stadiums

-Don't fly an aircraft that weighs more than 55 lbs

-Don't be careless or reckless with your unmanned aircraft – you could be fined for endangering people or other aircraft

I got mine registered, and hopefully I'll get out and get some more shots with it. It's super easy to fly. I just feel sketched out using it because of all of the "drone" talk on the news.

Nice, the Newegg deal was the aircraft, extra battery, and hard carry case for $800. I somehow managed to get in on that pricing mix-up before they shut it down.

Anyone here use Affinity Photo? I upgraded my mac to el capitan and with the loss of iPhoto (allowed for level adjustments) I decided to get it. No subscription, $50. Had some store credit so it was like $30. Looks quite powerful, but I know nothing about real photo editing so I look forward to the challenge!

It's been a great lens for me, but I recently bought the Sigma 18-35 1.8 so I really have no use for it anymore. Hoping to sell it and start saving for the 70-200mm

Here's an 800hp Civic I shot recently and some more of my car. Would love to hear some critiques!

been editing these slowly the last couple days. I have the base LR edits done on most of them. That shot turned out nicely. I have a couple black and whites that are nice in that same setup and spot. I tried to keep most of the shots tame like this one seeing as how it was my first maternity shoot. Not wanting to over complicate it. I have had more portrait work this fall than car shoots.

I guess everyone is a little slow right now anyway so I dont feel bad for going OT haha

I think the civic needs more pop, it is shot in the city and the colors of the civic are almost the same as the urban environment. I would brush over the car with some clarity like 20 or so. Also just a bit more contrast on the first 2 would look nice IMO. The 3rd one is just harsh lighting with the big sun reflection on the body there.

That first WRX shot I like. I would once again add some clarity to the car and just bump the contrast some. Help the shots pop some more. That wrx shot though is nice, Also I would watch your crops. Try to use the rule of 1/3s whenever possible to help keep the shot nicely composed. And avoid the tight crops as well it makes it hard to do anything special with composition that way.

I've been shooting since I was toddling. I love Subarus (I'm on my second) but most of all, I love taking pictures. Here's my 2009 2.5i. After being in an accident, I changed out the Impreza hood for a GT(WRX) hood and the grille for a sport color match.
